Great fucking job gettin' your name on roll. Now keep that promise today. When you wake up, just do it again.

Quit With You Nick.
The love you get here is conditional. The condition is that you are quit.

I see you posted roll. The ball is now in your court. You've got a good team to support you, though.

Read everything brother Souliman said below. It is the gospel.

I'll see you here tomorrow.

Doesn't matter if its been 1 month or 100 years of using...you're an addict like us. Welcome. I haven't been here long but long enough that there a bunch of stuff you can do to help yourself. Quit just don't fall from the sky like bird crap from a seagull. You got to go get it.

1. Hit the 'Welcome Center' in the upper left. Its that soft pink salmon colored link up there. That will tell you the how and what.

2. One of them there links tells you about roll call. That's us putting our word down that we won't use today. Just today. If I promise anymore than that I get crazy and whatnot. One day at a time. That's it. Sounds like you know your group. The way to post up is here:

index.php?showtopic=50

and if you got some slow genes in you here's the video

http://www.killthecan.org/roll/

We post everyday. No excuses. Don't fuck with the program. No "but I can't get to" or "but my granny is" will fly. Can't get to a computer? Text a quit brother or sister. Don't got numbers? Get some.

3. Read. This is a battle. Be prepared for that battle. The jackpot of knowledge on fighting this addiction is here. You've found it. Now consume it. The more prepared you are the safer your quit. And that's what we want to do: protect your quit.

4. Get involved. Get to know folks. Get in the flow of this little Quitsville. You couldn't buy the support that exists on this site. To me, to warrant the help you got to earn it. That means giving it your best, getting involved and paying it forward.

5. Reach out. When shit gets difficult anyone of these fuckers will answer the call but you got to let folks know. There is no shame in asking for help. We are all addicts.

Welcome.

Hey everyone, how are y'all doing? I've only been addicted to nic for about a year and a half, but it's gotten to be a big problem in my life that I feel that I need to quit now before it consumes my life for years. I started out smoking but quickly switched to dip because I could do that more privately and without smelling etc.. I never considered myself to have an addictive personality, but like many of us I had someone wake me up to my addiction. I was in denial.
Most people around me dip and smoke considering I am around my fraternity a lot where there are a lot of use so I know there will be a lot of triggers for me, but I know I can do it especially because I found this group that is incredibly committed. I really like the fact that this is a nic free post board. I took my last dip earlier today so tomorrow will be my day one. I am really looking forward to working through my quit with y'all. I'll post my first role tomorrow on the Jan 2013 board. Thanks guys and gals. No more nicotine for QuittinNick!
We'll be waiting, in the meantime, read all you can in the Welcome Center and begin to gather contact info from fellow members of Jan13 quit group, it would do you well to have these on hand as the weekend is fast approaching.
