SO glad to see you corrected yourself in your intro. I stopped for a month here and a month there, but never quit until I did. It was hard at first, but the freedom is awesome.

You CAN quit...take it from me and every one else here. We've all been "in the dip game" for 20+ years yet we all wanted to quit so dam bad that we are finally here and doing it! Even though My quit is still fairly new, i can tell you that it's 95% mental...5% everything else. Train your mind and don't ever look back. Welcome to quitsville USA!
The BEST day to quit was Yesterday, the second best day is TODAY!

Howdy folks. If it's my second time quitting I guess I didn't really quit the first time. I been dipping for about 25 years+. I stopped once for six months. Picked it right back up one day and never looked back. I recently had a friend who had half of his jaw removed and is now fighting a boNE infection. It's all from dipping. I don't want to put my family through that. I am also currently involved in a home improvement show and I don't want anybody seeing me and thinking that dipping is okay. It's not and I wish I had never started. Thanks for listening. God bless you all for helping each other.
Hillbilly,
Congrats on your decision, you are correct, you never quit before but have only stopped.
This site works and can set you free if you use the tools and follow the formula
1. post roll daily, first thing
2. keep your promise to yourself and your fellow quitters
3. get active on KTC, read up and help others
4. repeat steps 1-3

Let me know if you don't know how to post roll?

Hillbilly,

Man it's amazing how similar the story lines are here. I had a brief stoppage about 20 years into my nearly 40 year affair with Copenhagen....went fishing and a buddy of mine had a fat lipper in. I made the fatal "just one won't hurt" mistake and that cost me another 2 decades....just cause I'm a dumbass.

At least you learned 15 years faster than me!! Can't add much to what Idaho Spuds says other than really make an effort to get to know your fellow quitters; trade digits with them; make sure that someone will track you down if you don't post roll by a certain time in the day (build that web of accountability). In time, they become more like family than strangers on some internet forum.

Okay, so you're posted; that's awesome! Things are gonna suck for awhile, but sooner or later, it'll pass. You just have to gut it out, one day, one hour, one moment at a time! Welcome to the new Hillbilly!!
Welcome aboard. Put on your had hat and try not to lick the windows. You can do this!
