Ok lets try this again, My quit date was july 26,2014 I am trying to navigate the site and join a quit group. I have tried twice and don't think it worked the way it was supposed to. Any way I posted and would not let me add name and date of quit and promise. It's probly the 4th day jitters not letting me focus on what I have to do but I tried. will keep looking into it so as to join a group correctly. So for now july 26, 2014 quit date

Bump.

As you near the HOF...just wanted to bump this to the front as a reminder to remember where you started. Quit on, November brother.

base, I combined your two intro threads so you have it all under one hood.
I to had trouble with the site in the beginning and am still learning the ropes. I didn't even know this site was out there to help us addicts and went the first 20 some days solo. You'll catch on. My advice...hydrate, hydrate then hydrate some more. Read the stuff that those before us have gone, then read some more. Exercise as much as possible and when nicci the bitch shows, which she will...tell her to "take a suck".

Welcome Freebase (interesting name choice), if you want to quit nicotine you've come to the right place.

How to post roll:

1) Find your quit group November 14
2) Scroll all the way down to the bottom making sure you're on the last page.
3) Find the last person who posted roll.
4) Hit quote on the bottom right corner.
5) Select all the text in the lower text box and CUT it.
6) Paste all of that text in the upper text box.
7) Add your name and days quit under the last person in your quit group.
8) Press post reply

Every has trouble with it for the fist week or so, you'll get the hang of it.

PM me if you need anything.

Welcome, freebase. MCO's instructions should help you post roll. That's the most important part of the process -- making a promise early in the day that you won't use any nicotine that day.

Shoot me a PM if I can help.

Freebase, it looks like you tried to post roll the last two days in November, which is correct. Great! Dont get frustrated, we will fix roll for you, just keep on quitting.

To learn the detailed steps try this link. Try that in November again.

Now a roll post will have a bunch of names then a number, listed under a heading saying something like November quitting freaks. You will find the most recent roll post in November, then hit quote in the bottom right of that post. That will take you to the post screen with two boxes to type in. Follow the instructions on the link underlined above. You can find even more info in the welcome center

Freebase, the reason for the lukewarm responses is you have not posted a roll call. This site is built on one foundation....making a promise not to dip for one day. You make the promise to us, and we make the promise to you. If anybody does not live up to the promise they let everyone down. It's what makes a KTC quit different than everyu other time you've tried. Not only will you let yourself and family down, but now you've also let 10's of thousands of quitters down as well. That my friend is a lot of accountability that can get you through some rough moments. So 3 days is great, but if you want some real encouragement and support join the site by posting roll to the November 2014 group. The second you post roll it's the same as making a promise to the entire website that you will not dip today. Here's how to do it. get involved, and stay quit.

1. Login, go to your quit page, think about what you are going to post.
2. Find the most recent post
3. hit F5 or refresh the page
4. Press "quote" on the roll
5. Click in the box that has all of the Roll posts (the lower box), hit CTRL-A to select all and Press CTRL-X to CUT, not copy-if you copy, then you'll double post roll.
6. Click to the reply window and press CTRL+V to paste it in. Then write in your name, day and your promise
7. Press submit-done.

Great choice, Freebie. 3 days is HUGE. Bet it would be alot better if you told us more, posted roll, etc. It's up to you. I'm just stoked to hear your quit. You can do this, brother!
