You said that you want to quit at Christmas. I am sure that you would love to enjoy your Christmas with you family. If you quit at Christmas you will be miserable. Quit now so that you can enjoy your first nic free Christmas in 30 years.
I agree. You will ruin Christmas. You will not feel like celebrating. Thats like declaring war on Christmas. Quitting is a battle.

Quit now and make Christmas a real celebration. Plus you'll have an extra $230 to blow on presents.

Find some fake stuff to chew on...I used Tea.

If you can tell me why it will be easier to quit later, I'm listening. If you can't, well hell, time to man up there you.

Quit now and by Christmas, you will feel like a new man. You have access to the site, read around a bit and you will find that I am telling the truth.

There really is no reason to wait. I know it is hard and scary. I was you 281 days ago. Now I rarely think about dipping, even when others do it in front of me. I just don't do that anymore.

You can do this. We can help.

Balls in your court.

Hello,

I've been chewing tobacco for almost 30 years now and I love it. I tried to quit several times the last time about five years ago.  I get very irritated when I try to quit.  My wife stopped smoking cold turkey about 26 years ago and does not understand how difficult it is for me to stop.  I use her mocking me about not being strong enough to quick as a catch 22.  I need her tender encouragement very much.  I don't think I can quit unless she goes overboard to pamper me while I'm trying to quit.

Quitting will be extremely hard for me because I simply love chewing tobacco.  I have decided to set this Christmas as my quit date which means my 100 days will be April 3, 2009.

Anyone, please help me achieve this goal.

Recently, we've bought some land out in the country and working that land without a chew seems impossible.  I must quit for my sake and my family's sake.

BTW how do I join a quit group?

The first thing I want to ask is, How bad do you want to quit? If you are not quitting for yourself first, chances are you will not suceed. We all loved chewing so your situation is nothing new. We have all been there. Next, kind of disappointing to hear that you have set a quit date for Christmas. Why wait? YOu just have to do it. You will never feel ready to quit. Just jump in and do it. I used to put quitting off so much. "I will quit next week" "I will quit after this can" " I will quit after vacation". Never works.
Read everything on this site. Great info here and great people here that can help. When you are ready to commit say the word and we will help you get started. This is serious business my friend.
Couldn't agree more. Quit now and be done with it. I always picked holidays and important dates. F that. Just flush it and begin then post up and hang on us.
