I've been chewing since I was 17 so around 8 years, half assed a couple quit attempts through the years by trying to taper off, switching to pouches, etc. which clearly didn't work. I'm sick of that shit controlling my life so last Sunday I threw out my last can and went cold turkey. I actually ran across the site while looking up symptoms of quitting (no one's a hypochondriac until their brain tells them they're dying) and the community sounded like a good fit. I quit for myself and myself alone.
A bit about me: My name is Teddy, I'm 24 and I live in Columbia, MO. I worked a few different jobs trying to find my calling (better to make money than to spend it changing majors 400 times) and am finally heading back to school in the fall to study Nuclear Medicine. Aside from quitting my hobbies include reading, camping, watching sports, and trying new restaurants/breweries.
