I had also nearly given up on ever quitting after 40+ Years of addiction. You can read my story but to sum it up I decided to give it one more shot and if it didn't work I had decided to end it by ending my life. Well that was three years ago and I promie you that if you truly want to quit and you follow the plan of quitting daily and paying forward the help you receive that you can quit. Now you have something else to do today, post roll!

Hey guerss,
Welcome aboard the crazy train.
And Congrats on a couple good decisions.
We do things around here real simple and slow.
One day at a time. ODAAT
We don't have the time nor the energy to be worried about tomorrow. We focus on no nicotine of any kind for 24 hours at a time.
Make a promise for just today, not to touch nicotine.
You can do that by going here topic/11069030/ and posting roll. Instructions are on the list page.

I hope you are here every day.... Reading, communicating, learning, sharing, Raging, giving back, and helping others.

We make decisions in life and that is good. Staying with and growing in those decisions is what impacts people's lives. Let's put some meat on those decisions. ODAAT

I quit with you today.
I dipped for 38 Years. If I can do it you can too. It's never too late to quit.

^^^^^ YES ^^^^ Great choice, Guerss!!! Do what Rawls says...every word of it. Post roll, read all you can and repeat. Call out if you need help. Just simply post "HELP" and you will have tons of folks drop whatever they are doing (probably surfing for porn) and reach out to you.

Now...my two cents...it looks to me like the mental part was messing you up. The rage...accepting an early death?!!! Good grief. Let's turn that attitude around!!! Quitting is a privilege. You GET to feel this shitty because you CHOSE to quit. (I used to go sit in my truck and shout that, by the way. Neighbors thought I was nuts...but I was quit). So, tell the Nic Bitch to do her worst. Embrace the suck. Tell the Nic Bitch you aren't falling for her shit anymore. You should be pumped that you have the guts and smarts to quit.

Click around the Quit Groups. Not just your own group, but a look at a few other months and years. Then think...all of those name were once where you are right now. And they are controlling addiction ONE DAY AT A TIME. You can do this. They were full of self-doubt and rage too. And yet they are all posting roll and living free.

Cut quitting down to a size you can deal with. I used to get over-whelmed by the thought of "quitting forever." I would call bullshit on myself. I just didn't believe I could do it. I still don't know if I can quit forever. But I can guaran-fucking-tee you that I am quit today. When my head hits the pillow tonight, I won't have had any nicotine. And I plan to be here tomorrow too. But that is tomorrow. We're just focusing on TODAY.

Don't worry about tomorrow, next week, next year...we'll deal with them when they get here. But embrace the suck, laugh at the withdrawals, and live free among your new bad-ass family of quitters today!
These guys are right. One day at a time, a staple here. Grab some gum, candy, seeds, fake and drink a lot of water. Come on here and yell, scream, and bitch at us all you want. Keep that shit out of your house. We have all been through, or are going through exactly what you are. We can and will give you help and support. Get to know as many people as you can. Good luck and great decision to quit! If you need anything let me know.

I did it
« on: April 08, 2015, 09:20:00 AM »
I gave up on myself. I thought it was too late to quit and that i would just die an early death. My anxiety over the last few years spiked through the roof constantly worried about my health due to dipping. I tried to block it out, but every time i put a dip in i was reminded of a early grave due to this lifestyle of dipping for 31 years. Enough i had it. I cut back in march 2015 then went on zyban in late march cause i was full of anger and rage. My last dip was in March but my last chew was easter sunday 2015. I choose this date because i needed to be saved too. I will be here all my life. Thx u for the time.
