Quit Day 2, start!
Thanks all for the posts and words of wisdom.
I can firmly say that I am thru Quit day 1. The work day seemed to be the hardest for me, once I got out of work I tried to keep myself occupied until I was ready for bed.
I figured the nights would be the hardest, my normal routine after work is pretty consistent; go home or to the gym, depending on the day, but regardless every night ends the same, play video games, and just chew until sleep.
Yesterday I did go to the gym, figured it would help. I'm not very stressed at work right now (I do work for a more seasonal company, so once august rolls around it will ramp up), but the gym is always relaxing. I did notice that I felt incredible running yesterday, maybe it was just adreniline, but I still ran an extra 1.5 miles yesterday it made me feel damn proud.
after coming home, I sat down to play some video games but quickly got bored after about an hour. This is where I think I will struggle, because I spent the next hour cleaning, but I don't think I can honestly clean everyday. I live in a tiny lock off (studio apartment) that only takes an hour to clean the entire thing.
About a month back I bought some books to occupy my time before bed, maybe in hopes I'd get a good nights rest if I started to read. After I got those books in the mail they have been collecting dust, but yesterday I rolled with the new me and read, a lot. I never read, I don't think I've actually read a book cover to cover since I was required too in high school.
Now here I am, back in the office ready to start Quit day #2.
No my dads, nor will my first born be named Phil, haven't heard that one before :X
