Today has been significantly easier than yesterday... But I never dipped at work.
I've had a slight sore throat the last 2 days as well, normal? Trying not to over things, as this is a huge change to my body.
If you think this is going to just get easier, then you're fooling yourself. Quitting sucks, especially in the early going. That's why we tell you to "embrace the suck." Remember what you feel like and make sure you never repeat Day 2 ever again. Same for Day 3, 4, etc. Put the balls to the wall and quit like fuck!

On a side note, I don't know if you're from NC or a UNC fan, but the name Tarheel implies one or the other. Which one is it?
I'm currently living in NC and have been a UNC fan all my life.

I never thought it'd be easy, merely commenting that today was much easier than yesterday. Ups and downs I suppose.

Funny that the sore throat happened when I didn't understand why to drink do much water. Clearly not a doctor here.

Thanks for the support all.
weird thing for me early in my quit (first 2 weeks) my mouth, tongue, throat - all felt like shit......day 71 and I am still getting used to having a clean mouth.....crazy.....fuck the bitch
sore throat, mouth sores, etc- all common symptoms of quitting dip.

Where you at Tarhole?

I have lived in NC my entire life and I've hated UNC for the same amount of time.

Go Wolfpack!
Oh no, a unc versus uncstate dispute. Everyone who doesn't want to get caught in the cross fire of a tickle pile better clear on out the back. Might even be some slapping and hair pulling if tempers really flare.

PS - Welcome, Tarheel. Yell if you need anything or have any questions. Good work with the quit.

PPS - FUCS
Well last I checked you need 2 participants for a tickle party. That means Tarheel would need to show up. Best I can tell he never posted roll in September and he ain't been around for the past few days. Just sayin...........
Guess the next day wasn't as good as he thought. Probably took the easy way out and is back humping the can like a good 'lil addict.

Tarheel,
Coach Steve and CoachDoc are very right. Listen to their experience/wisdom. They've been quit longer than you and I. They are proof that WE can do this.
Water? I drink 1 gallon between 6 am and noon and I'm a pissin' fool too. It helps me with the craves and gives me a little something to do with my mouth. Also, use tic tacs, cinnoman gum and brushing my teeth 3-5 times a day. Did I mention water??? :)
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.
It's poison I tell ya, You wouldn't drink Liquid Drano, would ya?

Sore throat is common for a lot of quitters - especially in the beginning. It is also a good reason for the suggested water. One thing that dipping does for us is it usually keeps our mouths and throats moist - or slimed. Stop dipping, the mucosa often dries out.

Also, Coach Steve is right, do not kid yourself into thinking that this gets easier quickly. There are lots of trick that get played on you...the first and most dangerous is you being tricked into thinking this is easy and that you can do this without any effort....that is a path that leads straight to the cave...

You are going to have to fight this and be willing to fight for your health and well being. Don't become complacent...do not get cocky or think you've got this beat...it will sneak up on you and catch you from behind if you do not stay ready.
Blah...Blah...Blah...You keep TALKIN....I'll keep QUITTIN

I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to support YOUR quit.
