I will agree, lots of great info on this site...i found it googling how long the nicotine withdraw part would last....The hardest part is the habit of spiting and re-thinking everything without a dip....I do feel better, find myself getting more things done..Never realized how hooked I was... Best part is no more spit bottles in the Truck...Dang they stick in the summer...

I know what you mean about breaking that mental habit.

For the first 3 weeks I was CONSTANTLY thinking about dip.

I ALWAYS used to keep my can on my bedside table. Even after 3 weeks of no dipping I would find myself reaching for the can that wasn't there. That shit was just ingrained into my head after years of consistent use. But it can be broken.

That shit is going to fade. I am 100+ days free from nicotine and I am thinking about it less and less everyday.

Now instead of craving dip, I am regretting ever putting that shit in my mouth.

Congratulations on a great decision! You have already survived the toughest part of the quit. The nicotine is completely out of your body, so now it is all mental.

For me, it took realizing that my body and brain is so much more powerful than a chemical called nicotine.
