Wow day 38! That's something to be proud of and you're probably a lot less likely to relapse now. If you haven't already, keep real busy, eat super well and get lots of exercise and water intake. That way your nicotine addiction is replaced with new good habits. I've discovered lots of resources, hall of fame stories (on day 100), links and pictures.
Oh this guy had it all wrong as we all know and now you know as well right Workhorse? This fella hasn't been seen since 2014. Wonder where he is now? We saw what happened when you quit posting roll. I won't say you ruined a good quit because it wasn't a quit, it was a HoF stop. Did the HoF cure you? Can I be cured to? Tongue in cheek man, I know better. We will NEVER be cured. We are addicts.

I'm not telling you what to do except one thing.... well maybe 2 things.

First, you need to be a man and belly up the bar like one and go answer the 3 questions to your old group and your new group. Your old group deserves to know why you fucked them so badly. You new group deserves an explanation of what happened and why you won't fuck them over too.

Next, you need to go in the Words Of Wisdom thread and real all the posts about why people still post roll and when it is safe to stop posting roll. And while your at it, find the cucumber and pickle post. Good shit!

And do yourself a big favor, when someone posts shit like this guy did, run like a mother fucker! His intent was well but sucked! Except for the being proud to be a day 38 part. That part he didn't screw up.
If I could I would. If I don't, it's because I am lazy.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the Ark. Professionals built the Titanic.

Posting up a day 1... instead of 1,194.

Get involved and stay involved.
Post roll everyday. Every. Day.

It keeps you from being this guy.

^^^^ The highlighted part of this is bullshit. ^^^^

A guy a day 38 is no less likely to relapse than a guy on day 4. Same could be said for me at day 981, or any other quitter here. We are never cured. We are, at any given moment, only one small error in judgement away from complete failure.

Never let your guard down, guys.

I quit with both of y'all today.

+1

post roll first thing every day keep your word to your quit brothers rinse repeat.

there is no relapse this is a black or white issue no maybe alowed!

As of this post I'm at day 38.  A little late but better than never.

My name is Brent from Texas.
I've been an addict for about 15 years.  I guess my story is typical of every other person.  I started by trying to be cool in High School.  I remember that I got sicker than a dog the first time I tried it and swore I would never do it again.

However, after about a week, I remembered how much I liked the buzz and decided I was going to try it again.  I stole some from my father, (life long user) and didn't get sick that time.

Before I knew it, tobacco had it's dirty fingers in every aspect of my life, hunting, fishing, work, driving, sneaking it into school, you name it.

I am a father of three beautiful children and a husband to a beautiful wonderful wife.  I DO NOT want to set the example for my young son nor do I want my daughters to think that it is ok for their future husbands.

I'm posting this as another way to be held accountable for my addiction.  I am asking everyone on this site to HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE.  This is me "drinking the Kool-Aid".  I don't need nic anymore.  I need everyone to scream at me for even thinking about it.

Thanks all of you for your support.
Man I'm at day 23  think about it all the freaking time!! I hate. But then I get on this site, promise I won't use nicotine,  I read everyone's stories. Between that  toothpicks, I've made it this far. Quit for today Brent
Welcome to ktc workhorse. Don't you worry either, you start talking about wanting nic in here and people will be screaming. :D This site is a life saver for sure. Get to know your quit brothers and sisters and get yourself some number's. Post roll early everyday and always honor your word. I will quit with you any day. If you need a number and someone that will hold you accountable, just shoot me a pm.
