Hey bro I'm a junior in college and I started dip in college as-well. I told myself the same thing that I would quit before I was addicted.

If it was the nic craving alone that I had to deal with it'd be a lot easier, but to be honest dipping is something that I found to enjoy when I'm bored and want some time alone or a break from studying.

I'm on day 4 and I do miss it but the less I think about it the better. Even when I get past the withdrawal symptoms closing the door on dipping is going to be hard because it's been one of the few things I can enjoy in college.

Just remember the fight is never over you have to close the door on dip completely, don't just try to quit and "see what happens" because I'v tried it and it will never work.

Hey folks,

I started dipping my freshman year in college. I am now about to start my senior year. Quitting is something I said that I would do before I got addicted. However, I have tried to quit a couple times and didn't last longer than a day. I'm determined to put it away for good this time. I need all the help and support I can get.
Also: Does anybody know anything about Smokey Mountain tobacco free snuff? I bought some today, but I'm not sure what I think of it yet. Thanks for reading and please give me any advice you may have.

God Bless,

Congrats Raider!!

This is the first day of ridding yourself of the nicotine bitch!!! I have been quit for only three days but the support you get from this site is amazing. Get to know your fellow quitters and get their contact info. They will keep on your ass to prevent you from caving. Post roll call every morning to pledge that you are quit for good and fight through one day at a time. good luck PM if you need anything

  • Interests: My wife and 2 young children keep me happy and busy most of the time but when I get a spare moment you can catch me in a historic area or park metal detecting or up on the river sluicing for some gold or with a fishing pole in my hand. I also like hunting, hiking, and anything else exciting or outdoors. I like all sports and recently got into volleyball.

Raider,

Congratulations on your first day! You need to stay focused and turn your craves for dip into hatred for nicotine! The nicotine that keeps you coming back like a fool and risking your life, taking your money, and is nasty as fuck as a habit. Take it one day or even one hour at a time and believe me, it gets a lot easier. Don't look too far forward or you will feel overwhelmed. There are guys on here that have dipped for 40+ years so if they can do it, anyone can. I am only on day 11 but I am so happy and feel free every day because I am no longer a nicotine slave. You will have a new found confidence so enjoy the shitty first days of quit and turn your anger towards the nicotine that used to be more powerful than you.
