To take full advantage of the site, you need to make a daily promise to the entire KTC community that you will not use nicotine on any form. You do that by posting roll. Here is a link with directions on posting roll. You will be a member of the March '18 quit group.

Five days on your own is badass. However, the support you will find here will greatly improve your chances of remaining quit. I'm 679 days clean, and still post roll daily. It's my best chance at remaining clean.

Jump in with both feet, and drink the Kool-Aid.

As far as the throat and mouth pain, think of it like this: Your mouth and throat have been under constant attack by you and tobacco. The nicotine has acted as an analgesic. Your mouth and throat are finally getting a chance to heal. They will heal eventually.

Hi all, i have been dipping for 30 years. 3 to 4 cans a day the past couple of years. I have been nicotine free for about 5 days. I have tried before and always failed. It's only been a couple of days but this time it has been fairly easy to quit. Only problem i have are the throat and mouth pain. I also have a chance to land my dream job, but you have to be 6 months nicotine free before they will hire you. So i guess it helps to have a reason to quit. I think this forum has also helped me a lot. Thanks
