Bowman...I did not wrestle for Iowa. wrestled for a small division III school. Grew up in eastern Iowa and just a huge fan. Every kid wanted to wrestle for Dan Gable. Got my ass kicked by Jeff McGinnis when we were both freshmen in high school and Jesse Whitmer damn near took my head off at Junior Nationals with the best headlock ever tossed on me. Good times though.
I'm not from Iowa, but I would've given a testicle to wrestle for Gable. Just one, though.

I never wrestled against any Hawkeyes and I should probably be thankful for that.

I saw that move. That was pretty cool. That kid named his move the flying squirrel.

bushwackers....cracks me up. They'd bite the corner of the ring....or was that someone else?

They were always my favorites.

Alright so for the wrestling fans out there, did you happen to see this. Has to be one of the craziest takedowns ever.

Hey Bdb,

Welcome to KTC from a fellow former collegiate wrestler. Congrats on making it a week --- you made it past the worst part. Remember how bad it sucked. You'll never have to go through that again as long as you don't cave.

Post roll early and everyday. This place works. Feel free to PM me if you need anything (a number or whatnot)

Also, did you wrestle for Iowa?

Maintain that resolve to quit every day. I, too, am on my 7th day of QUIT and WAS a prisoner to it for 20-21 years. We'll press forward day by day together on this board with all the others - keep up the committment!

Imagine a day, not far away, when for days at a time the only moments you think about dip are when you post roll to this site to make the promise to quit. I can absolutely promise you that day is waiting for you.

Don't surrender your resolve and you'll make it. It's that gritty determination to bear with anything, to do whatever it takes, that will make you a winner. Keep yourself taut with commitment, because that's the rubber that meets the road: nothing is more necessary to reaching your goal.

Our role is only to pump it back up if your firmness of purpose shows any signs of a slow leak. It's early but I wager, you're going to do fine; and I wouldn't say that at this stage about a whole lot of people.

I quit with you.

I'm on day 7 of my quit and decided today was a good day to do my first post and first roll call. So here I am. Been chewing Copenhagen long cut for 18years. Can almost remember my first dip. Started in college as a way to manage food cravings and spit. I wrestled and weight control was always a battle so one day had a dip and boom...hooked. I have a wife and two kids (boy age 5 and girl age 10) and they all agree...time to quit. However, I'm doing this for me. I am selfish. I want to see my kids grow up. This is my battle and I'm ready.

Days 1-3 sucked. Actually took off from work because of my attitude. Could have killed someone. I felt physically sick and couldn't concentrate. The sickness and dizziness have subsided but I'm still moody. Been having trouble sleeping the last couple of nights. Cravings aren't bad but they are very frequent. It's like everything I do is a trigger...probably because I always had a dip in.

Today I feel good. No tobacco today.
You got this mother fucker by the balls brother. The nic - bitch is no more. I'm at the 5 days quit and feel your pain.
