You've got some great advice from the badass quitters above.

My advice: Pour your soul into your Nicotine quit. KTC is your weapon. Use the weapon. Be the weapon.
Nicotine Quit Date:10/31/2013
Exercise Start Date: 6/29/2018

Good to see you on roll. Be proud of your decision. Uphold your promise every damn day. Get involved here on the boards and read as much as you can. Educate yourself, ask questions. All of this will help your quit.

A very smart decision at 25, there are quitters here like me who quit in their 40's and 50's, so do it now, do it right, and don't be a fool like me.

I'd like my $30,000 and gums back please.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Hey Adam,
glad you're here. You're already a good ways into the toughest part. I used Smokey Mountain that you can get at Walmart and that scratched an itch for me. Tons of water and the exercise is supposed to help. I found reading the articles on this site really helpful for keeping up the motivation. Do get over to our March page and post roll. The instructions are right there. Make that commitment with us to not use nic today. Then keep your word. Then, wake up and do it agin.
You got this!

Exercise as much as you can. During the early days I would periodically do push-ups or air squats or sit-ups in my office. It helps to deal with the withdrawal symptoms, and it helps to clear the fog (for a short while afterwards).

Hey Adam - damn glad to meet you. And congrats on making the decision to quit.

You've probably already done your reading, but these next are going to suck. They're going to suck the life out of you, they're going to make you so irritable that every little thing will piss you off, and they only thing you'll think about is dip. I'm on Day 6, and even though I'm getting past some of that shit (I feel pretty similar to having the flu), but it's worth it. You're going to look back on this first awful week in a few months and be so glad you did it. Everyone's been through this, so reach out to anyone if you have any questions or anything at all.

Congrats on the decision to quit! 30 days in myself. First three days felt like the would never end. Now the days fly by. Stay strong. Embrace the pain, the freedom is unbelievable. Nic is nothing but worthless poison. Keep telling yourself that. Utilize KTC. Lot of veterans in here that helped me so much.
Inbox me know if I can help!

My name's Adam. I'm 25, from SC. I've been dipping for 11 years. I spent a long time last night (at like 3 AM) mulling over the decision to quit dipping. I was reading articles on the front page of KTC, and it really seems like the right thing to do...and there never seems to be a "right time." It's time to just fucking do it. Ironically enough, I was dipping while I was reading...the ceremonial "final dip."

I'm ready to stop having spitters all over the place and grossing out my girl. I'm ready to stop checking the mirror every few weeks to see how far my gums have receded.

I've tried before, but never had a support group. Here's to quitting, and to the support I hope to gain and give to you guys. Hope to hear from you soon!

P.S. I'm 15 hours in, and I've been clammy and foggy all damn day. I'm about to go for a run to try to distract myself. Has anyone found exercise to help in the withdrawal period? Or should I just take it easy? Thanks fellas!
Great decision to quit!
First thing is to get over to March 2015 and post roll, that is the backbone for KTC, your promise to yourself and fellow quitters.
Read everything on the site, build a network of support and use the site to make it work.
Exercise and drink tons of water to flush out the poison. The first week will be terrible, get gum, candy and fake chew to help.
Quit on!
