Been dipping for a little over 8 years. Was lying in bed tonight thinking about how much I really wanted to be done with it. Sick of throwing away money, risking my health, and being dependant on something I hate. Have tried quitting many times, but after about three months I think "oh I could just have one", and then its like I never quit at all, and sometimes I dip more then I did before. I need help, and am an addict.
Great start, admitting you're an addict. As a fellow Aggie ('90) its time to take back control of your life. Start now. Aggies conquer all that they set their mind to. Start posting roll today and see how your life improves.

I sure don't miss day, 1,2,3,4,5 but it gets better the longer you make it. Don't ever believe the lie that a chew will EVER help make anything better either. The lie part is you will have to go through this all over again and realize yourself as weaker from it because she owns you. Remember it and use it to keep you quit for today. Read or post up when you are hurting. Post roll every day.

I quit with you today if you can quit nic a day at a time starting now. Sounds like you are ready, now just do it.
Quit 8/14/12 and taking my life back one day at a time.

If you don?t control what you have access to, what you have access to will control you.

I?m trying to remind myself daily it?s not the absence of conflict that determines whether or not my relationships are healthy. It?s knowing how to handle the conflicts that will arise.

Character is who we are, not who we pretend to be. It's better to be shaped than to be fake.

We've all been where you are. Read all you can here and you will see similar stories of addiction as your own. Me, I took my first dip while working Bonfire as a fish at TAMU...fast forward to 21 years later and over a can a day addiction. Then I quit by following the simple principles here.

Quitting is not easy in the beginning but I can tell you that it is worth it. There is nothing like the freedom of removing the leash from the hands of U.S. Tobacco. It gets so much better. Shout if you need anything.
