Welcome Bruce. Nice to have you here. Sounds like you have the right attitude. I won’t lecture you about drinking early in your quit other than to say - you’re right, it’s risky.

longcut_straight Intro

Hello -

My name is Bruce and have been an addict for ~35 wish years.  Loved Copenhagen Longcut Straight! Turned 50 this year. My twin passed in October with Cancer. My only child quit smoking 14 months ago. Tried quitting once around 12 years ago for someone else and had came here back then to read, but not be involved.  Anyway, this quit is real ! It is one day at a time...making the decision to quit each new day... lessening my chances of cancer, spending more quality time with my family.  I am proud to quit with all of you quitters.

I'm on day 12 - went out last night and drank some beers, watching 2 of my friends dip in front of me. I felt good not wanting to join in. I know it was risky, but was ready and willing to leave if urges were difficult to deal with.  Thought that was a successful evening and had fun being nicotine free.

Cheers!
Bruce
