Hello,

It's day one for me 2/2/10, but this isn't the first attempt. First time was when I got married. I quit for 8 months, but it was done alone. My wife and friends always were there, but their support always seemed so hollow. Saying things like, "I know how tough it is...". Seriously? You know how tough it is? How do you know? (and F You!) It was infuriating to the point that I just stopped talking to them and withdrew into a little ball of struggle. And I've gathered from what I've read that most of the people on this site know how futile struggling alone can be. So after 8 months I woke up from a solid sleep at about 3 a.m. and drove to the store, thus ending the 8 months. That was a little over 3 years ago. I'm a lot more at peace with myself this time around and that coupled with other resources (like this site and looking at my receding gums) i know this time I'm going to make it a lifetime free of dip.

Thank you,

RickDicolus
Rick I know how tough it is. LOL

Seriously, what else were they supposed to say?? Wasn't their fault. But I get what you are saying.

Anyway, yes, you are not alone here. Every sick twisted story concerning dip you can think of has been said here.

The difference with being here is that each day you will promise not to use tobacco and will be held accountable for your actions, so the next time at 3am you Sally up to go to the store you will not want to break your word. Plus there are 100 guys on here willing to give you their phone numbers so in tough times you will not be alone.

Read everything on this site and go post roll if you haven't...
