Def appreciate the no-nonsense attitude. I truly believe that is the mindset needed to beat this addiction. On day 3 about 67 hours free now. If I let up on myself (aka be a pussy) for even a minute I know I will be taking a ride to the nearest WaWa to pick up a tin. Fuck that! Def gonna beat this shit. Honestly deserve this kick in the dick after being a stupid tobacco lamb for 15 years.
When you guys fired back at me like that it made me see i was being easy on myself. Exhibiting self-pity and weakness. Which is a sure fire way for me to end up back where i started... No thanks

So thanks again for the support and no nonsense feedback. Continue to be unforgiving with any weak shit you smell out on this forum!
Hallnboats, where you been man? Everything ok?
Did any of March get this guy's number? This is where the brotherhood kicks in March, a solid quit start, and crickets for 4 days.

"Slip" or relapse happened roughly 28 hours in. Came home from work and threw a sweatshirt on to go fishing.. A can of kodiak rolled out of the front pocket and had a little more than one pinch left in it. Didnt do it right away, but had a mental staring contest with it when i got back from fishing. Eventually caved and was pissed because I hit the reset button on 28 hours of hard work in one second.

Tonight at 9:15pm i WILL be 72 hours free of Tobacco.
I hope my vernacular doesn't downplay how serious i am about this. For myself and to prove to others around me(my older Brother) that tobacco can be beaten.

Thanks for the no-nonsense support
You know what I dig about what you just wrote?... You didn't get all butthurt for being called out. That tells me a lot! Being open to advice and being led is huge bro... You benefit from all of us having been where you are. You CAN do this. We've blazed the path... You just need to stay on it. Rock on...
^^^^ QFT right there, AJ nailed it. We speak our minds here because we were once at a day 3 ourselves, and know what it takes to get to Day 4. Scour your home and car for cans, ditch it all, and Quit Like Fuck (QLF) with us today!

Welcome hallnboats! Sounds like you are on the right track. This place is what you make of it. I may have missed your roll, but if I didnt, head over to March '15 and meet your quit brothers. Posting roll is our promise not to use, and it's the foundation of KTC.

l'll quit with you today and every damn day!

Im over 3 days in. Slipped up once. I know it will get easier. I hope it happens sooner than later.
So... When did this "slip" occur? This is not a "try and try again" method. You need to wrap your head around that. Also... Words like "habit" and "routine" don't work here. Addiction... That's the operative word. Nicotine is a naaaaasty mistress. Your being here is the best thing you can do for your quit... This is where you can arm yourself to fight this fight.

Glad you're here, dude. This is yours if you want it bad enough. Own it brother... Freedom waits.
We dont fukin slip up here. We Quit. When your name is on roll that is your WORD to us that you will not use nic under any circumstance for that day.

Day 1 started after your last dip whenever that was.

This quitting shit is hard but it is also very doable if you want it.

Thanks! This site has definitely been helpful in letting me know what to expect. Very happy for stumbling upon it.
Really helpful reading everyone else's fight with tobacco. Also helpful as a "time waster" to pass time before i can go to sleep and start the battle again tomorrow.

Nights are the hardest. I can get through my morning commute and pre work routine without because its short (less than 90 minutes total) and busy. Work isnt a problem because i cant dip while i work. Its after.. from 3pm-bed. Worst! constant back n forth in my head. This site has been integral in helping me tonight. For that, and all of you who have contributed I am thankful.
I hear ya!

Whenever I crave, I jump on the site and read through some posts. Helps pass the time and clear your mind!

The first 10 days or so will suck. Then it starts to feel a little easier.

If you're jonzing real hard, drink a lot of water, find some sort of oral fixation like seeds, mints, tooth picks. Anything to stay quit!

Welcome! Congrats on making the decision!

Head on over to the group: Pre HOF March.
That is the group you will post with.

We do things one day at a time around here, We quit for today and we make a promise to our group by posting roll when we wake up in the morning. Keep your promise, and do it again tomorrow.

Read up on all the useful information around here.
Get some digits from some fellow quitters and quit on.

Congrats!

Well i gotta be thankful for finding this site. My name Is MJ, I've been packin' fatties on the reg for 15 years. I remember back when I started and how I thought it was cool and badass and all that shit(plus that crazy buzz B)B ). This Just reinforces the fact that 17-18 yr olds are stupid and shouldnt be allowed many of the rights they possess today. So 15 years and roughly $30,000 dollars of damage later I woke up and realized it's time to stop. Stop being a pussy and stop putting off something thats only going to get harder as time goes on. So I have 15 years of routine to break. Im over 3 days in. Slipped up once. I know it will get easier. I hope it happens sooner than later.
