Thanks!! If I survive a trip to my in-laws next week I can do anything!! I guess there is no good time to quit.....Thanks for the support.
Hey Gantman
Anytime is a good time to quit...especially now.
I was a slave to the nic bitch for 36 years and started when I was 12 (I know you like math:). I've been quit for 25 days going on the rest of my life. Don't worry about the in-laws or any other stress. They don't matter and if you learn to hate the nic bitch, you will handle anything. One Day At A Time OODAT!
You can do it, bro! Welcome!
Post roll. Use the hell out of the fake chew...as long as no nic, it doesn't matter!
Quit with you all day.

Embrace the quit, it's empowering!

PM me if you want. Us "old dudes" need to stay together.

Hi Gantman, I'm old too and chewed/dipped for 33 years, so I understand. I've been quit 15 days now! Nope, it's not easy, but I will never be a slave to the can again....ever! PM me if I can help.

BTW, fake chew (no nic) is fine. I've been using Jakes.

I was a 30+ year dipper/chewer and I am at day Day 20....

Here is what I have survived in 20 days without NIC:

In-laws visit

Crazy Aunt Visit

Sons first HS baseball game

Fishing for the first time

3 days being snowed in

Friends with Cigars (gave them up too..NO NIC)

I buy lots of gum but I am feeling better every day.

You got this!!!!!!

Post Roll Call...

Read this site when you get the urge....

Drink lots of water...

Exercise......it helps...

Use your Intro page to document your journey after you Post Roll. Document the ups and downs and this will give you something to refer back to. We are quitters and damn proud of it. Tackle one day at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow until tomorrow. You help us stay quit and we will help you.

Oh hell do I relate to you Gantman. I'm also an old fart and tackled the trips to the inlaws (I survived). Take the advice and post roll daily and keep your word. It works, I've seen the impossible in my life and in many others. Pm me if you need anything. No 'ifs, try's or hoping' accepted only do it!
As far as fake dip I chewed the hell out of it for 90 days and then I lost interest. I still have a can but haven't opened it in over a year.

Hello! I'm a quiter, at least for 4 days. I started 40 years ago when I was 15. Yea do the math I'm old. Is it cheating if I got some non-dip to help? I got some Smokey Mount. non-tobacco and have been using it. Not having any major problems, but not easy either. A little foggy but will push on.
Non-Nicotine products is not cheating. Here are some things to do 1st:

1) Dump all of your stash.

2) Go to the welcome center and read everything.

3) Post roll. I think that you will be in the June 2014 quit group.

Check your inbox and find a message from me. Welcome aboard.
