I merged your 2 intros together.
(1)Â What happened?
(2)Â Why did it happen?
(3)Â What are you going to do differently this time?
(4)Â How pissed is CoachDoc?
1 2. Mother-in-law has stage 4 lung cancer, COPD, 42% lung function, and a host of other medical issues. She is in the hospital at least once a month. I couldn't handle the stress of dealing with her AND deal with my own stress that comes with quitting.
3. I will succeed, because I have accepted that she will not stop smoking (3 cartons per week) and she will die soon.
4. Ask him yourself.
why I caved but it doesn't matter.
It matters a great deal. If you do not understand why you failed or how this site works, you are doomed to fail again.
I know why I failed, but didn't have the time to type everything out because I am still at work. That is why I said it didn't matter. I will finish the rest of my homework when I can actually do it: when I get home.
My turn for questions:
1. Do I post in a new group or my old one?
2. Am I even welcome back?
Post in your original group as a supporter and in your new group as well.
That does not look like a solid quit plan to me...maybe a vet with more experience than me can chime in on that. I really don't see solid answers or a solid plan here.
Sorry to ask you to time out of your busy schedule, and thank you for gracing us with your return. I'm truly humbled by this opportunity.
You see, I'm taking precious time out of my schedule. It's 8 pm. I'm at work. I've been at work all day doing taxes, dealing with baseball league duties, and planning a cub scout thing for tomorrow. I've also completely neglected my movie review site today so I'm probably going to fall asleep while a dinosaur eats some lady tonight.
Yet I took the time to ask you some questions.
1 2. Mother-in-law has stage 4 lung cancer, COPD, 42% lung function, and a host of other medical issues. She is in the hospital at least once a month. I couldn't handle the stress of dealing with her AND deal with my own stress that comes with quitting.
Couldn't?
I bet you could.
You can do a lot of things without nicotine. In fact...you don't need it at all. Prayers for your mother-in-law and prayers for the family, but her situation means shit to your quit. You chose to use. When did you choose to use? On the way home one night? After a fight with the wife? What happened that put you in the moment of "fail".
3. I will succeed, because I have accepted that she will not stop smoking (3 cartons per week) and she will die soon.
You can control one thing and one thing alone in this world: Your actions. You are a leaf in the wind with everything else. You can't control her, and saying you will succeed doesn't mean that you filled in the pothole that caught you on question 1.
You can do this man, and prayers. No excuses.
