Thanks everyone. Thanksfully no dumpster diving yet... This morning is a bit rough. About to go through the 3 S's with no ripper. I can't wait for some coffee....

Welcome blau, Congrats on the quit. I'm a fellow yinzer, small world. The first few days are a bit rough, but it gets better. Read everything you can on here, then read some more. As has been noted, everybody is completely cold turkey. No gum, no patches, no drugs, just pure willpower with support from others going thru the same exact thing.

Post your promise to remain nicotine free every day in the roll call. Then keep that promise until the next day. Simple!

And for fuck's sake, stay outta dumpsters and trash cans.

Welcome to your quit. Read the Welcome center and understand the goal here . It's my understanding to be completely free of nicotine , no meds or gum just a heaping helping of COLD ASS TURKEY and us of course.
Stay strong stay clean .

Maybe flush your can too just to keep you from poaching it later .

Say what, there is a can of dip in the trash somewhere--I'm there! Seriously the other day I was walking the dog and saw a can by the side of the dirt road I was on and I'm disgusted to admit I wondered if there was anything in it. You'd think I was a junkie or something!

Glad you've found us blau, and fight through it today!

GREAT choice. We are in this together...you took the first step, we're with you for the rest. No pills, no patches, no bullshit...just pure cold turkey, white-Knicks, teeth gritting, bad-ass quitting.

You can do this, brother!!!

Welcome blau iii. Were aren't too far away from each other. PM me and I'll give you a number to text or call when in need.

Do as Brain sore says. We are cold turkey. Free of Nic. We don't have a habit we have an addiction. A deadly one at that.

Your word on role call is your promise and dignity. You keep it and we have your back to fight the craves. Get connected.

Brainsore is right. Flush the can, dumpster diving certainly isn't unheard of with this stuff.

Welcome, now get reading and get numbers

If you have flushed all nic and quit, then today is your day 1. Go post it in October. Then stay up late reading all you can on this site and post your day 2 first thing tomorrow morning. We don't put off chiseling our promise to stay nic free in stone. Do it. Now.

Guys (and gals). I have to say thank you for this fantastic website. Today is my first day. I have been taking Chantix for about two weeks and really cut back. I had even gone a few days without snuff.

This morning after my workout, I broke down and ran to the uni-mart to get a can of snuff. As I was sitting at my desk, completed disgusted with myself, I happened to find this website.

Thank you for giving the support I needed to finally rip the band aid off and say today is going to be the day.

I threw that can in the trash and haven't looked back.

Hopefully I can get roll call right in the morning and help my wife to understand why I'm so flipping cranky.
