You can beat the nic addiction. Take it one day at a time. Just quit for today. Read everything you can on this site and make the most of this community. I am on day 21 and it gets a little easier each day. It's important to choose to be done with it forever - to say this is it for me. And then just stick with that choice each day. If we can all do it you can do.

It's good to be free!
I disagree. I think it's important to decide that you're done with it for only today. I'm almost 2,000 days quit, but I haven't decided that I'm done with it forever. I'd like to be. But who knows what the future holds. I may change my mind some day.

But, I know without any doubt that I will make it through day 1,988. That's why I post roll. I'm an addict. I have my weaknesses. I've been known to lack self-control. I've even made some unsavory choices in the past. My roll post keeps all that in check. My dedication and accountability to both myself, 65fl and this entire community keeps me quit.

My promise expires at 11:59 tonight. Luckily, I post roll first thing every morning.

Congrats on a great decision! Well done getting on board with your roll call!

Now - realize that you're not out of the woods with your health. The damage may have already been done. See KTC Resource... So, even if you knew you'd still die someday from mouth cancer, would you still be motivated to live your remaining days with freedom?

Every day is SO much better without tobacco as a crutch and prison.

Glad to see your bad ass posted roll already. That's the number one of many important functions of this program. Post roll then be a man of your word. This is a brotherhood, that will have your back and quit right along side you every minute of every day, thus don't shit on them, keep your word bro!!! This is not easy but simple, only you can screw it up, as only you can decide to put the shit back in your lip. You can do this, it is tough, but you can do it. Read read read and then read some more. Sent you my number in a pm, use it. I will quit with you as hard as it fucking takes, now all you need to do is want it bad enough! Erussell day 181

Welcome Bruddha, You're in the right place and it looks like you got the whole posting thing down pretty well. Post every day, keep your promise and you'll stay quit. Just a thought... I'm not sure you've ever been quit until today. Congrats!

Bruddha's Intro
« on: October 27, 2013, 09:14:00 PM »
47, male, can a day since I was 14.
Used dip to quit/avoid some much heavier shit. After I made 25 I counted every day as a bonus. I come from a seriously effed up background, lots of bad.
So dip was, for a large part of my life, a saving grace. I had the genetics for it, thank goodness, but we all know nobody gets out alive from this shit.
After discovering this shit is harder to kick than any other drug but sugar, i started hating Big Tobacco with a vengeance.
Been quitting for 20 years. Developed some knew perspectives a few months back that enabled me to go almost two months clean, but didn't quite have it right.
I think I've got it now.
Stumbled on you all after Smokey Mountain ran a car in NASCAR and I went looking for reviews.

Coincidence? Or providence?

So here we are.

Have got to do this. I can feel it creeping up on me. Now or consequences.
I had an awesome sig quote back in 1985, but I used it on the Interwebs and now it's a meme. :-/
