Day 4! Day 4! Day 4!

Feeling a good bit better, that's for sure. Don't get me wrong, it's still not easy. There's a little longing. The nic bitch realizes what I'm trying to do. She's trying to see if I miss her bad enough to go back. She wasn't THAT bad was she? I easily kicked the habit in just 3 or so days, right?

NO. No f-ing way. I'm smarter than that. I quit again today! That bitch isn't going to ruin my weekend. Onwards!
So what do we do? Anything. Something. So long as we just don't sit there. If we screw it up, start over. Try something else. If we wait until we've satisfied all the uncertainties, it may be too late.

Feeling pretty good going into Saturday night. Ran a 5k and did a quick lift at the gym this afternoon. It's amazing what a good workout will do to lift your spirits - even on a "regular day".

Hangar Steak with Chimichurri sauce for dinner. Focusing on the small positive stuff about a good Saturday. My first dip-free Saturday!
Fantastic!

I think for some reason kicking my own ass with a workout seems to truly mellow me out on the bad mornings and gives a great start to the good morning! 'Crazy'

Outstanding. Fight. I just love that word. Fight for your life. Fight for your freedom. Good shit.

Don't be taking out the rage on friendlies around you. You get in here and scream and cuss at one of us. Damn I just love cussing a storm at the nic bitch. You getting any exercise bro? Might help short circuit some of that rage. Clear your head a bit. Get the blood pumping.

Day 3. Woke up angry. Just angry and had to keep from snapping at the girl. All she probably said was "good morning" but you would have thought she said something against my mother!

Took a breath, landed back to earth - the weekend has me nervous! I know what to do though. Posted roll. Drinking water, keeping away from partying too much.

I'm ready to FIGHT through this weekend. When I come out on the other side it will be day FIVE! One day at a time. Today I quit the nic bitch.

Nice Day 2 Southern!
U got some bad asses here giving you some quit gold (I'm not included :)).
My jaw hurt because i chewed gum like a fiend. Had to put in at least 3 pieces. I also did the push up thing (except i did pull-ups). I snuck in a health food store and got some stop smoking herbal pills. Luby is a little ghey, so he doesn't have to sneak, but I did. Anyway, they did seem to help those intense craves. I was popping those things like the fat guy popping heart pills in Dumb and Dumber. At first I was a little worried about getting addicted to the pills, but I never even finished the whole bottle.

Stay Quit Today.
Post Roll First thing in the morning.
Then Quit tomorrow.

Pm me anytime.

A little late, but it's here, Luby!

Day 2. My face is sore, not from dip, but from what I'm assuming is from involuntarily grinding my teeth and clenching my jaw all of last night.

Slept like shit and I have to say the cravings were the worst (after being relatively okay by comparison the rest of the day) right as I went to bed.

It's anxiety or something. I got out of bed at least three times to do push ups. Try to burn out the anxious feeling.
Nice day 2! I never had jaw pain until I made an attempt on my own and used lozenges (fuck meI was an idiot!) and those damn things made me so tense I got tmj which continued when I went back to the can and well into my quit. It is all gone now but that tension is part of the process. So is the anxiety, go to the health food store (and most do let straight males in, who knew?) and ask one of the hippy's there for natural crap that will help you relax, like i said before I use "calm" and rescue remedy, they seem to help me. Same as the sleep, try some natural crap or get some tylonol pm. Oh, and drink lots of water

The suck is the feeling of your body healing. It is a privilege that we get to go through. It is the door to freedom. Embrace the suck and learn to love your new nic-free life.

I promise you it is worth every wonderful moment of the suck. Stay strong!

embrace everything that "sucks" about your quit... if the nic bitch is telling you it sucks, that means it is fucking awesome in the real world. every ounce of pain, every minute of insomnia, every twinge of a crave... it's all weakness that you are eradicating from your life. you are throwing off the shackles of slavery that you voluntarily wore for almost a decade. that's exciting shit and deserves to be celebrated.

nice work on posting day 2.

Drink lots of water - got that! That's a good practice I keep already.

Bought some sunflower seeds after my workout. That seems to help for the time being (the workout ALWAYS helps, I know that even on a normal day).

The no booze part, that's going to be tricky and almost seems counter intuitive (I would imagine a little drinky-drink might help with the anxious feeling?).

Further made a bit tricky, If only because my start-up (what keeps me working from home) is directly related to the alcohol business. That said, if that's what it takes, then I'll fuckin' man up and try it out.

I figure ya'll know better than I do at this point. That's the benefit behind collective wisdom.
Man up and stay off the booze for 100+ days. Workout and loose a few pounds in the mean time. You will feel freaking awesome at day 100.

And you are correct...we do know more than you at this point.....but not much.

The suck is gonna happen, couple things that helped me. Drink a shit ton of water. Helps with the oral fixation and helps flush the nicotine out of your system. Workout! Getting a good tough workout in helps with the frustration and wears you out. Drink a shit ton of water. Couple natural products helped one is called "calm" helps with that edgy feeling. Drink a shit ton of water. Another product is rescue remedy, another natural thing that helps with edginess. Did I mention drink lots of water?
I'll quit with you today. PM me if you want any help or have any questions.

Welcome to the suck.
I work from home too. Quit at the same desk in the basement that I used to use on the weekends to get away and dip. It can be done but only 1 day at a time.
You will be in the thick of the battle this weekend. Weekends are huge quit killers so no alcohol, ok!!
