Here goes, everyone.  Dipping Copenhagen for a couple of decades.  I can't continue to do it and at the same time be the man I think God wants me to become.  Spiritual awakenings galore in my life, yet I hang onto this junk. Can't do it with a clear conscience anymore.  So...armed myself with some Smokey Mountain Wintergreen to try and slog through the next few days.  Any tips/encouragement will be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the site, fly. I chewed Copenhagen for 30 years, and have been quit for 150 days now.

If you've ever 'tried' to quit before, then you know what's coming for the first few days - its tough. But look around at the people on this site - it absolutely CAN BE DONE! So buckle up, and just resolve to get thru today no matter what, without any nicotine. one day at a time.

Its good that you got some fake chew to help you. You should mix that up with sunflower seeds, gum, hard candy as well. Exercise certainly helps, especially with the anxiety and fits of rage. Also drink tons and tons of water the first 3-4 days, it will help.

If you need anything at all, shoot me a PM.

I quit with you today.

Seriously, Use this Forum. I am on day 4, I registered yesterday and spent most of my day reading posts and the links on the Welcome page. This morning I was feeling pretty weak after a hard craving; I logged on as soon as I could and I feel more resolved.

Together we can beat this thing and be Quit for Life!

Welcome fly! I quit with you today and every day going forward. If you are quit, the first step is to post roll. Click on the "welcome center" link on the top of the page to see how to do this.

Like you I dipped for 20+ years. You can and will do this!
