You're on the right track. Just remember a habit is chewing your nails. You have an addiction. You are quit of that addiction. You have the tools now so don't let yourself or your brothers down.

PS- formyself is a great screen name, don't dishonor it. 'na na'
Awhile back I remember someone telling me curing addiction by replacing it with another addiction. I have to learn to live without the dip.

As for the name, I'll hold myself to the name and honor it for you, for ktc community and most importantly for myself.

Cheers!
Curing your addiction with another addiction...

Hmm... I like it!

In that case, become addicted to this site! Drown in it. Fall in love with it. Make it a HUGE part of your life!

Be addicted to your quit.
Its funny, I completely agree but I actually typed that incorrectly.

The saying goes "You cannot cure addiction with another addiction". The premise being that replacing an addiction with another addiction is deflected the root cause of the problem. The idea is replacing a pinch with a bunch of seeds merely shifts your addiction to another object. Granted, I think we can all agree seeds are hands down healthier and a better addiction than nicotine.

The point here being addictive personalities exist and at some point if you are using something to replace the pinch to get off nicotine please remember deep down at some point you will have to tackle that habit. Either way, if seeds, gum, something helps you stay off the nicotine and avoid the pinch I am behind you all the way. Just don't lose site of the big picture which is the quit and returning to your lifes equilibrium or point of normalcy.

I see no problem with being addicting to this site either! The community here is great.

You always found a way to dip, you always dropped everything to get another can. Put the same awareness into being quit and add in some integrity to keeping your daily promise and you'll do just fine.
Crazy to think how much I put after getting another pinch. You almost order your day around it. Wake up and get something on your stomach, toss a pinch in until the next meal.

Someone offers you gum, no thanks (because I have a pinch in). You want to go eat, sure give me about 30 till I decide I don't want this pinch. It's non-sense and I have to thank my wife for seeing the light and now I have to thank this community for providing support.

Thanks for the kind words. I have a sense of relief just spilling that to you all yesterday. Always knew others were struggling like myself but trying to articulate what I have been through really helped me internalize it and own it. It wasn't an addiction, it was my problem and there is such an easy solution is embarrassing at times to think how long we have been slaves to the can.

I cannot count the mornings I woke up grumpy because my can was low and that became priority.

Day 6 of the journey is just getting started and I feel like I am becoming addicting to the crave of a pinch not the pinch itself. To everyone out there, stay strong and if one day at a time is too much try to refuse one pinch at a time. Keep quit and enjoy life!

Alright brother, I read the intro, now you go to the August 2105 pre-HOF group and post roll. Then post roll early, every darn day. Get outside of your comfort zone and get involved. Swap digits, text quit bros, keep us updated on your quit. There is a huge amount of information and inspiration here, so soak it up brother.
Done, just posted my first roll!

You are right, tons of great stuff on here as well as a supportive community. So glad I found this place.
