This site will help you. You must get in here and actually post roll. Connect with brothers/sisters.

Any tips on quitting from anyone would be great!
Go to the Welcome Center, and learn how to post Roll.

Go to the Seltember '16 group and post roll.

Post roll every day, as early in the day as you can.

Post roll on weekends, holidays, your birthday, when you are sick, on the day a tornado/earthquake/hurricane takes down your house.

Get as involved in this site as your life will allow.

Collect contact digits from your brothers in your quit group. Use them if you feel a cave coming on.

Screw around on the Wild Card section of the KTC forum when you need to take your mind off dip.

A crave lasts about four minutes. Do whatever it takes to avoid caving. Then it will be gone as fast as it came.

Stay quit. No matter what.

Learn to post roll, and read everything you can on this site. I am the biggest glutton you'd ever want to mean, but posting roll daily has saved my life.

Well I just decided to quit dipping and not go back. I've tried before and always went back somehow. Hoping this site will help me keep the dip away forever. Any tips on quitting from anyone would be great!
Welcome! You made a great decision to quit.

The first thing to do is to find your "Quit Group" and start posting roll. If today is your first day quit, you're on Day 1 and your group is topic/11649440/19/#new. It's ok if you dipped earlier today, as long as you're done with it, today is day 1. Posting roll is explained on the page, but it can be confusing until you get used to it. Just keep at it and you'll figure it out.

Posting Roll means that you're making a promise for 24 hours not to use any form of nicotine. Make your promise every morning, one day at a time.

This site works based on two key principles, accountability and brotherhood. If you want this to be successful, you need to make your promise every day, but you should also connect with the people in your group and others. Hold them accountable to their promise and they will do the same. Everyone in your group will be going through the same things together and the bonds will help you get through tough times.

Read as much as you can on this site, post your experiences and make connections. Success is 100% mental, this site will help with that.

In terms of general quitting tips:
1. Drink lots of water
2. Drink less caffeine
3. Avoid alcohol early on
4. Learn to "Surf" a crave (look it up)
5. Make a plan to deal with triggering events
6. Take it one day at a time, don't think in terms of "forever"

Cuchid,
I'm into my 8th day and it's a bitch! But, this is a brotherhood of guys and girls that are in the same exact boat that you are. We all quit together and we all lean on each other. But there something you Gotta know. This takes dedication. You are soon going to find out what rollcall is and you cannot miss it . It took me a couple of days to figure out the site and what it meant but once I did it all made sense ha ha. I am going to PM with my digits so you can text hey time you feel the nicotine bitch creeping on you. You're with the September group. You got this!!
