Cheese,
You have done the right thing by coming here . Keep a Positive attitude and a good sense of humor and come here to chat when you need someone to talk too.

It took me 35 years to finally grow a set of balls and quit making excuses for my habits. I gaurantee its not easy, but it does get easier by each craving at a time, or one day at a time.

You can do this and hang tough with the best groups here on site.

Hey, Cheese, welcome. I appreciate Hal stepping up to give you a hand, but the links he posted don't seem to go anywhere. Here's the link for how to post roll. Go to "Quit Groups", then click on the January '10 quit group (that's the group you're in, everyone in it will hit their 100th day nicotine-free in January '10). All the instructions for how to post after you get to your group's page are in this link:

It's going to be a HARD, bumpy, extremely uncomfortable ride. But it will get better in a matter of a few weeks, if you're like most people. You can do this. Just take it one day at a time.

We know you've made all the excuses in the past...we all did too. No more excuses. Do it. And live better.

No gum tried that in the past and like you said. just a tease. Started something to help with the mood swing stuff.

the difference this time
« on: October 09, 2009, 01:44:00 PM »
I feel as though I should post something here. I am 25 and have chewed a 1/2 can a day for 10 years. If I'm awake I have a dip in, and sometimes when I'm not. Today is day one. quitting for me has been annual for the last three years. This time is different. I have got the meds and the courage and all the reasons in the world. I also have this sight and that's what really is going to make this quit different. Done this before. I know what the next few weeks will be like. But like you all say, one day at a time. I am not looking forward to the next few weeks but I am looking forward to the rest of my life without this Shit.
