After a long hiatus the train roars back to live and is heading to Tennessee to pick up our next hall of famer, married father of 3 Suzuki76. This hall of fame quitting legend started dipping when he was 20 years old. You other hall of famers might want to watch out because Suzuki76 says he loves to moon his neighbors. EEK!!

Suziki76Â’s favorite thing to do is ride motorcycle.. His choice of name may have been an indication of that, along with the craziest thing that Suzuki76 has ever done, was to run from the state troopers with my two sons while riding our motorcycles on the blue ridge pkwy. To celebrate this momentus occasion he is going to take his wife out for a steak dinner before coming back and sharing a bottle of moscato on the train with all of you.

Suzuki76 owns two businesses and drives a tahoe. his favorite line from a movie is “Never, ever give up” His favorite avatar used on KTC is yoda, and he finds GrizzlyHasClaws to be his most inspiring quitter, as well as the quitter he fears the most. Suzuki76 also credits all of you for inspiring him every single day, so heres to Suzuki76!!!! Congrats buddy and welcome aboard

Welcome to KTC. Great decision to quit and you are in the right place. Here are a few things to think about that I noted in your intro.

All said and done -- this comes down to will ... how bad do you want this quit?

We dont "really think" we can quit here brother --- we DO. We wake up, post roll  just quit. It is all in the mindset. You want it bad enough then you will be quit... you waffle, question yourself, etc -- you run into trouble. You CAN do this! I need you thinking that way today. Take control  own it! Push aside all feelings of doubt and focus on the positive.

Also, I need you to think about this One Day at a Time. ODAAT. You don't control the future... you control what you put in your mouth on this day. Focus on today. Don't worry about a week from now, a month from now, 100 day HOF, a year from now -- we don't control that. In fact, worrying about that will only create tension and pressure. So block that out of your mind. Really this is a lesson in life... live  be quit in this moment!

That said... I am glad you are here. Stay quit today bro! You got this!

Bob, glad to see you found your way to this site. Sometimes I wonder how we ended up here (Kill the Can).

#1. This is easy. We dipped or chewed smokeless tobacco.
#2. We decided it was time to quit.
#3. We googled "quitting dip" or someone shared this site with you. In my case finding this site has been a life saver. All I know is that I have found it and I am staying here because it works.

Those first 3 steps are just the beginning. The most important tool here is the act of posting roll daily. Wmcatty already hit on this in his post. Right now you need to dig into this site. Read the other intros and realize there are many others here just like you who are succeeding. Read the HOF speeches. Most importantly though, remember to post roll and daily. Looks like you already got the hang of it this morning. Check your inbox. My number is in there so reach out if you need anything.

I'm Bob from Tennessee.
I have quit many, many times in the 36 years I have dipped. I have been through all different
ways and I really think this time I can make it happen! I'm in my 5th day and have really appreciated the support so far. You guys have a good thing going and I want y'all to be proud of me when I make the 100 day mark!
I started back when I was around 20 years old. I was traveling with my buddies, racing motorcycles all over the country and driving 20+ hours nonstop to CA from TN . We dipped to keep from falling asleep. I just never stopped dipping . I teach Sunday school boys and chew them out for dipping. I can just tell the ones who dip ( a dipper can always tell ) . I'm lying to them and it's time to come clean ! With all of you guys help,I can do it. I just need to make sure I am posting roll call right....
As part of what one of my friends says post roll everyday and stay an make some friends
The nic is a bitch, but it's gone one day at a time.

Bob We have several things in common; we must be about the same age (I'm 56), 40 year addict, work with growing young men in church (scouts and Sunday school). I've been a big time ninja dipper, hiding it. I tried every possible way of quitting before finding this unbelievable resource 600 days ago and have made the hard decision (it really isn't that hard doing it for ODAAT) every day since. Give me a shout if you need anything.

Get on this site and read every thing you can find. Then read it again. I'm here to support you however I can. I'm a 36 year user myself, two cans per day. I'm about to hit the one year mark in a couple of days. So, if I can do this so can you.

Welcome to KTC Bob. You posted roll just fine. Read all you can about quitting on the site, beginning with the posts in the Welcome Center. We post roll daily as it our promise to ourselves and our quit brothers we will not use nicotine in any form that day. We go to bed, wake up and post the same promise the next day. Simple. Look up at the Inbox (1) on the top right hand side of your screen and open it. It is a message from me with my telephone number. Save it. Use it when you need someone to talk to, vent at or just rage about something. The point is, call me if there are problems or questions you may have. We are glad to welcome you aboard and congratulate you on your decision to take control of your life. Wayne

Welcome Bob from TN. I just picked my son up in Nashville. Man, I love that place. He went to an audio engineering school in Franklin. If I was required to leave the rocky mountains and move...I would pick Nashville.

Anyway glad you are quit. You are an addict. As such your mind operates differently.
Sometimes in good ways but to keep it short, you must accept that your mind will not grasp the concept of being quit forever.

Reality, you can quit forever but you addicted mind tricks you into thinking you will have to have a dip sometime.

Resolution? You trick your mind back. You post roll, keep your word and stay quit every "today". Tomorrow will be here soon enough but your quit yesterday is over and tomorrow may not happen but today, and every day its today, you quit!

You are not here by chance. You were brought here to learn how to deal with your nicotine addiction and quit for good.

Welcome and make it past today. If you wake tomorrow, post roll and repeat. Its good treatment.
