I am 8 days quit, because of a promise to my family. Im an Air Traffic Controller in the USAF, and I PROMISED my wife n kid that when I got promoted to SSGT, I would finally kill the can for good. I got notified of my promotion on 10 July and had the last dip of my life on July 21, 2014. Theres no looking back, and ill be damned if ill let my family call me a liar. Done with this shit for good. The support ive seen on here is awesome, and im proud to quit with yall.

Alright, so no one has brought it up yet so I guess I will...You need to quit for yourself. You can absolutely use your family as motivation, but in the end you have to quit for you and you alone, just my .02 Other than that congrats on the promotion and of course quitting.
