I'm 18 and been dipping since I was 15. As a country boy from the south every guy dips and I fell into that horrible habit, I'm a college student and I work for a living and a good pinch of dip helps me through the day well that one pinch turned into a can a day recently and it's gotten bad my girlfriend helped me slow down to about 3-4 pinches a day but I want to quit for good I jneed help and support it's so hard to quit and today, I'm desperate I want my life back without having to scrap change for a can it's hurting me financially and My health, today is my first day trying kill the can and I would greatly appreciate some support day one of the rest of my life dip free
Mason- your a wise man to do this now! Send me a PM and I shoot you my number. Call or text anytime you need someone to tell you YOU HAVE A CHOICE every day you have a choice. It's going to suck for awhile but the alternative is worse. I give you mad props that at 18 you recognize you have an addiction and you are looking for support. We are here for you. QUIT strong. Quit Hard. Stay Quit- there's no other option. You can never go back, not even once. If you truly want help know it's a lifetime commitment.
Mason,

Like I just told one of your quit brothers (peeinair)....you are so very far ahead of the power curve here. Quitting now will save you countless years of wasted money and time later (trust me on this). Read as much as you can on the SUCK that will be your life for the next couple weeks....post roll EARLY every day.....honor your word....build a community of like-minded quitters.....repeat.

Welcome. You are one very smart young man.
Mason,
Welcome to the madhouse! Congratulations on making the best decision of your life. It's a hard road brother but it gets better and it is totally worth every second of the suck. You should buy lots of gum or mints or sunflower seeds to help out with your quit. You could also get some fake dip (I use smokey mountain wintergreen) because it helps a lot with the craves. The things you need to do to be successful in your quit are simple. You need to wake up and post roll EARLY EVERYDAY DAMN DAY, read everything you can and learn to hate nicotine, exchange numbers and form a Web of Accountability and remember the suck so you know why you never want to use again. I would tell you to make sure you have thick skin but being that you are a country boy like me I know you already have some thick skin. Own your quit and kick the nic bitch in the ass brother! Get yourself in the October 2014 quit group (The Titans of Quit) and post roll. That will be your quit group. Check your pm's because I sent you my phone number if you need it.

Mason, you need to know this is not a habit, but an addiction. You will always be a nicotine addict, but you can learn how to control it but reading everything on this site, and posting roll. Posting roll is a promise that you will not use nicotine for 24 hours. It is what all of us do as early as we can every day. Join us, and make a wise decision at a young age.

Your quit group is going to be the Titans

When you are ready, post your name on the roll call and promise to yourself and your group that you will be nicotine free. This will explain how to post roll.

Welcome to the site Masonruss!

I too was raised in the country (sticks of Tennessee) and started dipping when I was 15. I kept at it for over 10 years and I am now 35 days nicotine free. This site will help you stay accountable to your quit. The key is to post roll every morning. Posting roll is your promise to the fellow quitters in your group to quit nicotine for that day. Don't think ahead, just think about today. I bet you can quit for one day, then tomorrow, wake up and think about quitting for that one day. One day at a time (ODAAT).

Your foundation for quitting will only be as strong as you make it. Spend time on the site, make friends, soldify your quit. It is much harder to cave and go back to nicotine when you consider the people in your quit group friends. Drink the KTC kool-aid and commit to quit.

Head on over to the "Welcome Center" and it will explain everything you need to know to get started. forum/55560/

Let us know if you have any questions, comments, concerns..... We are all here to help each other stay off the nic. Today I am dedicating my day of quitting to you. Let's do this man!
