Just introducing myself. I'm quitting after 30 years (high school baseball got me). I'm on day 30. Divorcing copenhagen has been harder than divorcing my ex-wife. Hanging tough though. I'm only 46 years old and want to stick around a while. I really feel like it's Russian roulette and I just have to find the will power. I was diagnosed with Afib a year ago and in the 30 days I've been off Cope, I have had no episodes. Eventually, tobacco will get you and I've got too much to live for.
Hey Win - glad to see you here! A month on your own is certifiable bad-ass territory.

Your next step is to post roll in the February quit group. Roll is our way of promising each other that we will not have nicotine for the day. We post roll every day here. Our system is pretty simple. Wake up, post roll, and keep your word for the day. Then, the next day, do it all over again. If you make that promise early - first thing every morning - and commit to making it every day, no matter what, then your chances of staying quit will go up exponentially.

If you're wondering how to post roll - check the pinned post at the top of the page in February, or check out this video on Posting Roll on KTC Kill the Can.

Get on over, make that promise, then come back tomorrow and do it again. I chewed Cope for 33 years before getting to the point you're at, and quitting is both the hardest - and best - thing I have ever done for myself. The good news is... if a chowderhead like me can do it, then you can, too :)
This place works Winfield. Posting roll first thing in the AM is what makes it work. That's your promise to the group. Honor your word and that day is now in the bag.
We do it one day at a time. Glad you are here.
