Definitely the worst time for me is at night while Im relaxing... This morning SUCKED also, I have a bag of seeds in case the cravings get to bad, but so far gum has took the edge off. I wanna try and use the seeds as an absolute last resort. The Fog is defiantly a weird one...sometimes I feel like I am almost a little drunk and some times
I feel like I havent slept in 2 days.... Sorry if I am rambling its a foggy moment lol.
That is such an accurate description of the fog. I felt like I had a good buzz. except, I could not hold a thought and my mind raced, but could not think about shit. I told my wife during a conversation, one sided, when she speaks to me I see the Matrix, stuff going by.

Get through the first 72 hours and feel the fog start to lift. Shits going to stay tough get some digits, reach out to some vets and newbies, stay involved-power in numbers and beat that nic bitch down. A wise man once told me "take what you need and leave the rest"

Almost finished up day 2ready and waiting on day 3. I find myself a little fidgity since I am not reaching for a spitter or not wondering where I left my tin lay. I must say it is a good fidgity. Was surfing around the old InnerWeb... and found this quote and found it fitting for the group. The way I look at it...any fat guy willing to sit around in a diaper to come up with some sayings and always have a smile on his face is a good guy to me....lol

Thanks for the advice guys... So far only to pieces of gum for the day and  haven't had to say i'm sorry for yelling at anyone...  all in all a pretty good day. Havent as much as  'bang head' I think I will take your advice on the cans and leave them in the trash.
Good deal. That's one day of freedom!

Don't let the easy days weaken your resolve. That's where many a quit has failed. Call it complacency if you want, but several easy days in a row will make it even tougher when that bad day comes along. Be ready. Print out that contratct and have some numbers stored in your phone.'

If you want to continue the theme, come on by and quit with the Gladiators in my HOF group. We always welcome new quitters to post with us, and another layer of accountability can't hurt.

Oh..... as far as the 'bang head' ......... it will come. I guarantee that. If you need to yell at somebody, bring it here. Don't take it out on your family or friends. They didn't cause this.

Just think of the can as Commidus. Father to a murdered son! Husband to a murdered wife! And I will have my vengence in...oh well you get it.

Dude, if you can transition away from anything can related now, jerkey or fake chew, you'll be stronger for it after the first week or so. Just get ready to become really good friends with sunflower seeds.
Mr. Skoal, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Mark, I tried the old tin with beef jerky idea as well just because I thought maybe it might fool my brain, but honestly all it did was make me think about dip even more because I had the can but knew what was in it! I find that LOTS of sunflower seeds work best for me....but everyone is different. Congrats on making it this far, just focus on today! You can kick this nic bitch!

x2.

I had to get as far away from the can as possible. Seeds were my lifesaver.

Go around to all your hiding spots and get rid of those cans. Right now it's not hard to resist the urges, but there will come a time that you won't be as strong.
