Day 3!!!! Hard. That's about all I have to say.
Day 3 is hard, but day 4 is a little better and day 5 will be better than that. 7 days for me now Russell, and I have to say - it is much easier. Seems like i got over the hump at about day 4 or 5. Now each day is a little easier. Keep on plowing through - you can do this.
Welcome. You know what 3 days means my friend?!?! That's 3 days you haven't went down to the corner store and spent your hard earned money on something that takes until there is nothing left. Embrace the suck and replace the tears with dignity and freedom.

Own this quit brother. Sure, it's gonna suck for a while, but it's worth every second to regain the freedom and dignity you've lost. The poison has stolen health, family time, dignity, freedom, money and your integrity. Keep taking it back one day at a time.

3 days means you can make it 4. This is how it works, one day at a time. My worst day quit is better than my best day using.

Think of this day as the day of reckoning. This is the last day the poison will be running through your veins. Tomorrow will be a new beginning. It will mean that you no longer have the poison running through your blood and your brain can now do what it's wanted to do for years. HEAL! Your body and brain thanks you my friend. Far to long you have given in to the poison and been lead around by a chain.

After today it will be all mental. You weren't meant to be lead around by a can of dirt. Embrace the suck and lets do this. All you have to worry about is today, that's all you have to get through. We'll worry about tomorrow when it gets here. Need a number let me know.
Stay strong, Russell. You're almost through the worst of it. Quitting with you today. Message me if you you need a number or anything.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

Hi Russell, you are just like he rest of us. An addict, weather 2 years or 30. Good advice has been given. Be strong and just set your goal for the next hour. I'll quit with you and PM me if I can help.

Do the all if that's what it takes. Drink a metric ton of water, some recommend cranberry juice. Work out helps, too. Fruit was my crutch early on.

Thanks everyone. Day one is hard!!! I don't know if I want to run a 5k, rip someone's face off, or take a nap. Trying to stay busy to keep my mind from roamin. I am taking it an hour at a time.

Dude... let's keep your responses to your original thread. No need to start a new topic every time. This way you can keep a journal/diary of how things go and have it all in one spot.

good call russell...read all you can around here. Knowledge is power against an addiction. Keep in mind...you will always be an addict. But you don't have to feed that addiction. We quit one day at a time here. If you can accept those things then you will be successful.
Boy I sure could use a beer right about now!

Hi, I've been dipping for 20years. It's hard to believe how fast they go by. I was 18 when someone offered me a dip. You can't go backwards so only one direction! Straight ahead
