Day 1 HOF May1

At some point in the middle of my dipping career I thought dipping was great as well. That it made everything better. What I didn't realize at the time was that I was a slave and that being a slave was doing so much more harm than the illusion of good. At the end I realized how badly things had gotten. I remember just feeling like shit all the time and really feeling disgusted with myself that I couldn't just quit. I couldn't believe that I just kept shoving that shit in my mouth every waking moment even though it was painful. I was so "Ready" to quit. And maybe that right there is why I may have a different perspective. So keep that in mind when you guys are reading anything that I post.

I can also tell you that my quality of life after quitting has probably never been better. And that the benefits of remaining quit may just be incalculable. I don't want to dip anymore. I don't even think about it anymore. It's a non-issue. Even when I'm on this site it's like it's two different things. As crazy as this sounds, I don't associate this site with dipping in the sense that when I'm here I would want a dip. I really don't know why that is, it just is. I will tell you that I come here for a reason. I need to remember that there is something I'm not supposed to do. And coming here does that. Coming here and doing what I do here helps me. It doesn't hurt me in any way. How great is that? And it's free!

It is very simple! We quit for today! We wake up! Do it again tomorrow!! One day at a time!
We walk in each others quit shoes, it may be a little different but ultimately the same exact thing

Where I can try to create more posts that have---
more color
different sized text
you know
dress it up a bit

Not a good day today. Just found out one of my best friend's 3 year old daughter probably has cancer. She recently started peeing like crazy and drinking water like crazy, so they thought it might be diabetes. But, now they've done an MRI and found a growth on her pituitary gland.

This is what KTC is all about--STT posted this for all of us to see-- because you see-- we are a banded, bonded brotherhood --assembled by chance-- to fight a common enemy--nicotine addiction!

born Houston Texas April 29 1948 left Houston area at age 19 and went where ever when ever I felt like it. West coast, Mountain West ......with an occasional stop over back here in Texas. Found a wife , lost her, found another(present wife of 30 yrs).
Went back to college and graduated with BSN Nursing at age 42-- before then construction and oil field 20 yrs.
Adopted some kids (3)- was a foster home for 9.5 years for medical needs children.
We moved back to Tx to our current location for me to complete my degree in Nsg. 26 yrs RN-now retired.

All of my daughters have American Indian heritage- as do I. Small in quantum large in heart. I was raised completely disconnected from our Indian heritage. Taking my kids to powwows got me going--I could feel the songs - they seemed familiar to me --I am wrapped up in Gourd dancing--and I am a member of the Kiowa Tia Piah Society of Carnegie Ok. I was brought into the organization 2 years ago after 14 years attending Gourd Dance.( look it up)
More later-- that brings us up to the present-mostly- sorta.
One thing you will find-- I am prone to yuck it up at times... so be warned.
I'm 2183 days in-- Today is the most important day of my quit-- I am quit with you-- today!
