Take what you need, leave the rest.

Just make sure you are on roll everyday.

Congrats on the 13 days!

Quote from: DrewdrewUpdate day 13: the quit is great. No headaches, sweats or anything really. I fight of cravings with seeds or hard candy, I feel good. I'll post in the quit group once a day, but disagree with all the side work that is going on in there, not what I signed on for. Those who have been talking to me, thank you, it will continue. Let's all quit, it can be done.
Well done Drew, good to quit with you today. Still alot of places on this sight to help people. For me that's what it's about. Use what helps you, and leave the other. Congrats on 13, glad your feeling better. And also for me anyway, not worrying about cancer makes for a soft pillow! ODAAT.

You are killing this quit, way to go! Never be afraid to use your quit tools though, I still gnaw on tea tree toothpicks during Lions games (guess that is over for awhile).
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Quote from: DrewdrewAs I walked out this morning, day 9, I thought that it felt great to be off of the junk. I got 1/2 mile down the road and realized I forgot my quit bag (gum, toothpicks, seeds, fake dip and candy). I kept driving. Not only did I not go back (I would've for dip back in the day), but I didn't go to the store and reapply any of these things. I think that I am reforming my total habit and dependency mindset. Granted, would I have forgotten the coffee, I would've went back. Didn't touch anything that wasn't breakfast or lunch all day. Managed to jack up roll call, that's it. Keep it up folks, we got this. As the fog diminishes, the sleep gets better. These cold sweats suck. I hope I'm toward the end of those. This is my update folks, again, thank you all. Never thought Id call a bunch of foggy ass addicts my friends, but you are.

I've started to realize that this saying is a major component of this site. Signed on with you Drew, keep working hard.

Quote from: RawlsGive us a report Brother... I see your name everywhere, awesome! Looks like your turning your energy to KTC. Once we realize we are addicts, we can start turning that characteristic into something positive. I'm a new addict to my wife, family, kids sports events, Hunting, Golfing. And focused now to to kill the Nic...B@$$!
We are all addicts, you pick.... Poison/Cancer or integrity/brotherhood.

Quote from: DrewdrewDay 5! I feel better than before, and have a good outlook on things. I have my "quit bag" I call it close by. Seeds, fake dip, coffee grounds, hard candy, bottle of high ass level caffeine soda and toothpicks. I found myself putting the can of Baccoff in my pocket while building a grill today. The strangest part about all of this, at this point, is realizing what I've put my poor wife through for all these years. I also realize what Ive put my parents through, and my poor ass throat and teeth. I guess the poison is wearing off, which makes me think like that. I won't go into beliefs, but as strong a Christian I am, I know the devil hits us where we are vulnerable. I am getting bigger temptations now. in days past a bunch of jabs were coming, now they are less frequent, but hitting harder, like a good rib shot. I'll fight. I look down and see a bunch of these buttholes urging me on. I didn't have this before in any of my adventures, thank you. I don't party, and my new year plans are watching the ball drop with my kids, while destroying the last bottle of eggnog.
Stay strong Drew you can do it. I like the quit bag - I'm trying to find sugar-free lifesavers/hard candy...don't want to chew sugar free gum all the time. I heard chewing gum allows you to inhale a lot of air, which makes you bloated, which makes you fart more! Reading all your stories in here keeps me motivated and definitely helps the itch. thanks guys
Permanent reminder of a temporary feeling...

Love the Quit Bag. Don't leave home without it. Great start pard, put some water on that list. Regarding the faith, stand strong, I throw my keys under the bed every night..... That puts me on my knees every morning. 'winker'
Enjoy your family tonight, Show them a improved, calm, patient, in control, Dad, that doesn't have bad breath, or cancer!

I need the luck there, it's been a while. About tonight, not a partier, and the kids and I are going to set up my new grill, walk around the block and choke a few people who won't sign my petition, and go to bed way before mid most likely.
