Welcome Rob, I'm not a HOFer but just past the halfway mark today. I was a slave for 29 years and have managed to quit with the help of my brothers here. As was already said get the water the gum the seeds fake snuff what ever takes your mind off the real thing. Get phone numbers for back up on the rough days. There will be rough days but it's worth it. PM me if you need a phone number of a quit buddy. And make new freinds with the quit brothers and sisters in your group. Rock on and stay Quit one day at a time! Buck

Hey all,
I'm Rob, 21, got about 2 years under my belt with a can in my pocket and though I can't match some of the other people on this site with my record, I am ready to give it up. I'm done fuckin around with the "I'll quit tomorrow" excuses and make a serious effort. Anybody that knows the ropes for withdrawals would be a big help to me and I'm not looking to have my hand held, but maybe let me know what helped you. Well, that's me and that's my story. I'll be posting roll call tomorrow and prepping for a bad mood the day after. Peace for now.
Hey Rob - get ready to rock and roll. Get yourself a gallon of water, a pack of gum or five, and sunflower seeds as well. Some of that herbal snuff has helped brothers if you are in an area that sells it. Eat whatever the hell you want for a while, do whatever the hell it takes to quit. After three days the nic should exit your system and then you have to battle the mental cravings. Use the site. Post roll and give your word to your brothers that you will not dip on a daily basis. Good luck and PM me if you need a number to call...better to call than to cave.

GEE - Day 63 and all be damned if I'm going back to that shit now.
Welcome to the site bobby. buckle up it's gonna be a bit of a ride.

I carried around a couple of pictures. The underlined text below are links.

This is a pretty goo reason to quit.

This one may give you a little motivation as well.

I would check this page out every morning hoping it changed. (hint: it never does)

And yes that shit can happen to us. It is just one bad dip away. If you need help ask. You have made a wise to choice to quit. so stick with it
I've always wanted to save a life, so I started with mine.
