Slim and Milhous, thanks. This is why quitting will be different this time - for all of us.

Brand new here, I'm with you. The long-distance driving thing is going to be the hardest for me.

You'll do it.

This is the day

OK guys (and gals). This is my quit day. Been down the road before only to relapse pretty quickly but have never had a resource like this one to help me through. Have gone a week or two and then a trigger / stress event and I'm back to the tin. Desperately want to get off this stuff but always had the excuse of "well, I'll really quit once work calms down" or "I'll quit when family stress isn't as bad". Been dipping since College (almost 20 years now). Guys I played football with used to dip on the bus to away games. Never really considered it but on one trip just picked it up and ran with it. Dipped all through law school; kept me awake so I could study. Tired of the increased heart rate, tired of my jaw clicking now cause it's so used to having a dip in. Tired of not sleeping well due to the heart jolt when I throw one in at night. Weekends are the hardest to stay away from it. Long distance driving is also a major trigger. Found this web site using "google" search. I will not dip today. JW
