I'm new here but I have to say that this site inspired me to quit chewing about two weeks ago. I read through all of the HOF descriptions and this made me feel 100% confident that I could quit cold turkey. I have already saved $100 in this time which is huge because I work a seasonal job and don't have much money during a few winter months. I started chewing in high school when I was 15 and moved to cigarettes when I was in my first year of college(18). Continued smoking until I was 23, two packs a day, and I started on the dip again. I will be 25 in August and up until I quit I had gotten up to 2 cans/day. I think the hardest part for me will be starting work again Monday and being outside all day and around co-workers that have huge chompers in. That being said, I really haven't had to many urges to take one but if I do I just throw in a huge wad of paper towels. I got the idea for paper towels by Joe Maddon, the manager for the MLB Tampa Bay Rays. I haven't had any mood swings or anything like that so I am really surprised at how well I'm taking it. Anyway, thanks to all on this site for the encouragement.
