I am 55yrs old. Starting dipping at 12. skoal carboard bottom, tip lid wax filled can. Anyway, when price of skoal went over $1.00, I changed to wolf. A few years later changed to red seal fine cut wintergreen. I signed up years ago for couons from red seal. Wellafter having some super strong craves, I got a coupon in the mail yesterday. I had beeen thinking to myself, Hey you live alone, nobody will ever know if ya cheat,  really who cares if ya cheat. I had to stop  say "I care","it mattes to me". I have been super dependant on Teaza  not sure if it's a good thing. I went thru a "Rage"" few days  seems to be craves ever since. Doesn't take much to "set me off" either. I guess I'm just looking for some support. It's seems so easy to cave when you live alone, work swing shift  only see those you work with. Looking for a true "friend". if you are a straight shooter, no games, please contact me. Oh, FYI, I am working 4-midnight today, but leave about 2:40pm. I'm off tomorrow But I login here every day after work. so someone please help.......oh, this is day 6 for me also.
welcome, this site is dedicated to helping others get through quitting nic cold turkey. The best way to start that is by posting your promise everyday that you are quit and will not use nicotine in any form at all. You need to post roll and begin your journey. I'm here for you and so is everyone on here. The first few days will suck you need to drink water buy the fake stuff, seeds, gum anyrhing to keep your mind off of it. Spend your time reading and asking questions here we have all been through it and want to help your succeed in your quit that's why we are here.
The Nic Bitch will always be there, waiting for those times you describe. It's time to put on your glasses and see who she really is. That starts by posting your promise EARLY, every damn day. That means when you wake up, post the promise. Get involved with your group. There are tons of straight shooters in there. Step out of your comfort zone a bit and send a PM to all the guys in your group. In that PM, include your phone number. You will get some in return and this is the start of brotherhood and accountability that will turn this place from words on a screen to real people who give a shit about your success. It would be easy to say Fuck It and return to the can, but some of the best things in life aren't easy. We are all here with you bro. My digits are in your Inbox.
Use those phone numbers! ^^^^^^^
Those guys can keep you straight.

Post roll, then keep your promise.
(i sent you links on how to do that, check your email and inbox)
Also check out the LIVE CHAT function to keep touch with guys. This website is great, looks to read and do, get involved and when you are at home and you get a crave, hop on KTC!
Backwoods901 - congratulations on being smart enough to quit at the age young age of 55. I quit at the age of 59.

It appears that you have gotten some good advice here.

I recommend drinking plenty of fruit juice.

When you dipped, your body released sugars in the brain which creates a pleasurable experience. You lose that when you quit.

You can replace those sugars by drinking the fruit juice, I prefer orange juice.

Make sure you keep your mind focused off the quit and on anything but the quit.

I quit with you today.
