Appreciate all of the encouragement, fellas.

Promising to my quit brothers daily - I won't betray.

At day 13 and head clearer. Still craving, but not caving.
My dad always said, "Nobody likes a quitter"...imagine if I quit quitting?...bet everybody would really farkin' hate me then.

Hey Hawse, I'm glad you're here and ready to free yourself from this poison. I used for over 30 years myself. The fog does indeed bring the suckle, but it does get better. Please take to heart the advice these guys have given and post roll every day. I have found that to be huge in me staying quit - starting off each day with a promise to this community and to myself that I will not use for the day.

I quit with you, brother. Shoot me a PM if you want to trade digits or if you need anything.

Thank you, gents.

Hit roll call.....this site will be the pickup I need to get through this hell.
Hey brother the fogs a bitch! Didn't understand that at first but do now! Listen to these guys ,post roll, ready everything you can and damn well keep your word and help yourself! Get in here don't have to wait open door now!
Welcome. Post roll EDD and focus on this in one day increments. You said you have a long way to go.... Not really. You have the same goal as me. Stay quit to the end of the day. That is it. You do that and you win. Then wake up tomorrow, post roll and quit for the day. This is key!

You may not feel like it but you are winning right now. Every second, minute and hour today is a W! Battle thru it. You can do it! I'm with you today!

Hi all and thanks for providing a great support site,

On and off (mostly on) for 30 years and went cold turkey last Thursday. I'm "full-in" to this support site to help keep my shit together....I really, really don't want to go back to the constant thought of having to drop a pinch. As my head is SLOWLY clearing up, it more looks like the can was controlling me (and not the other way around as it felt).

Eureka moment, maybe? dunno, but I have a long way to go.

Hawseman
Great decision to quit!
Post roll over in the May 2015 pre HOF, read everything on this site, it is quit therapy.
After 30 year (me for 16years) your mind and body doesn't know how to function without nicotine/chew.
It is hard rewiring yourself but you can do it. Invest in your quit each day, build a network of support!

I-Spuds is right...you have made a great decision. Congrats. As far as your not wanting to go back, the good news is you don't have to. This is YOUR decision. Can you do it? HELL YES. Check out the Quit Groups...not just your own group, but a few other months and years. Then think, every last one of those names is someone who has been right where you are now...and they are kicking the Nic Bitch's ass ONE DAY AT A TIME.

YOU CAN DO THIS. YOU'RE IN CONTROL NOW. Sure, you're swerving all over the road...but that what we're here for. Use us. Use the site to learn about addiction, learn how you too can control it one day at a time, reach out for help.

Post roll, read and repeat. That is all there is to it. Don't get ahead of yourself. Just get through today. We'll deal with tomorrow when it gets here. Focus on today. YOU GOT THIS!
