Thanks everyone for your input. In day 3 and coming back here to read your encouragement and words of support. I find myself trying to rationalize, "one last," and come in here to destroy that thought 'Remshot' . I quit with all of you.

edit: just keeping this updated cause I hope to use this as a journal somewhat. picked up 3 cans of hooch. mint, classic, and whiskey. definitely helps to take the edge off when need be
Oh day 3 me... You're cute. 'finger point'

As I type this I got 24 days. I wouldn't want to fuck that up!

Also.. In this time I've had a couple cig/dip dreams. I wonder if its the fact that we must be active in our quit and consciously think about it all day, or subconsciously I want nicotine. Thoughts? Any psychologists in the house??

Day 24 Update:

Thanks everyone for your support. Quit still going strong (as if there was ever a question). In this time I've been "stressed," and had "anxiety," but realized its natural reactions that normal people have that don't have nicotine in their blood 24/7. I've learned that I need to find new ways to deal with stress. About a week ago I went to an electronic music show (call it a rave if you want ;) ) and perhaps that was my biggest "trigger," yet.. Of course, I posted roll that morning so there was no question about me being nic free, that day, and for the rest of my days. But still, I was worried how things might go being surrouned by thangs... But I digress.

I know i've posted about my main concern being school and studying, aside from the first week withdrawals and fog, everythings been great!

According to this http://www.convertunits.com/dates/100/d ... p+17,+2015 , I shall making 100 days the day after Christmas. Very exciting. ODAAT!

Thank you JB65 and KingNothing for your encouragement. Today, the 25th, day 8, quit still going strong. A few things I've found during my quit, need to find a healthy way to deal with stress, and just do life in general. Perhaps more exercising is due.

I got lunch with my bestfriend from highschool who I haven't seen in 3 years, and it was nice to not have to hide my dip around her, or secretly toss it out (especially since I'm interested in her :P )

Also got 2 more cans of Hooch in the mail today... I used the 2 free sample offer (just pay shipping). Got Cherry and Spitfire. When the store owner was describing Spitfire to me (when I bought my first 3, in my first few days of quit), I didn't understand it. But DAMN, this stuff is delicious!! I haven't bought any gum or mints yet, (probably should, might be cheaper) but alternative snuff has definitely been making this quit easier than I thought it would be.

Fuck the nic bitch!
that's a good run. You are over the physical and it's all a lot of mental games. Tired, fog, anger, frustration. A lot of that type of shit will come and go. You say no and weather the storm. It will pass. Exercise is good. This friend could be good, but you ARE going through something major that can really fuck you up and could mess with a new relationship.

Congrats on 8--double digits in 2 days.

I quit with you.

Mike
Hmmm, woman, could help, could screw your head up! Hehe! Doing great! Damn proud to be quit with you!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Morning of day 6, quit going strong. These single digit days seem so small compared to even just double digits, but I got 6 days and thats 6 more nicotine free days that I've had probably since before I turned 18. Past couple mornings day 3 and day 4 felt a little off, couldn't tell what it was. Maybe lack of sleep, withdrawal, or a iittle bit of both. But I am excited to say that I feel good this morning, and its encouraging to feel health improvements so early on.
Keep piling em up Einstein. You are free from the slavery you willingly obliged for too many years. To maintain said freedom you need only keep cat turds out of your mouth. These victories will start to really pile up in short order. Keep your guard up and quit ODAAT, it gets even better.

I had 'one last' every day for 30 years. Everyone on KTC can say the same. I also studied the sciences as an undergrad and in grad school. It is damn hard, and most science majors tend to study solo, which is great temptation to stick a dip in as the hours pass by while you work on your problem sets. Keep on posting roll every day and be a man of your word: you need to learn a better way to concentrate and study than using dip.

I was going to quit when I was 22. That was the "before I get married" quit. Sure would like to have those 24 yrs back.

Put the shit down now son, and don't look back. It only gets harder the longer that you put it off.
^^^^ This is true.

I've been a nicotine addict for at least 35 years. I "quit" countless times in the past. The next time I would start to use nicotine I would say to myself "no big deal, I can quit whenever I want". I never decided to quit for good. That has always been my problem.

I am posting roll here again tomorrow for Day 15. I can't wait to see you guys there too. B)B
I started at the age of 12. By the time I was 20 I thought about quitting but I was young and dumb and invincible, only bad things happen to older people. 30 years old , dipping is nice relaxing daily routine, nothings happened yet probably not going to. 40 years old having a little blood pressure problems ,nothing major, tried numerous times to quit, can't do this shit by myself. 48 years old heart attack doc says from nicotine, so what I'm an addict, I can't quit this by myself. December 28 almost 2 years after heart attack (now that's pathetic ) found ktc the help I needed to save my life! My point, today is the day to quit, no matter what age, it takes your youth, health and family! Quit now because tomorrow may never get here or be 38 year's later!

It's smart to quit while you're young. You're not much younger than myself. I dipped for around 3 years and now I'm going on 28 days since my last dip. It's the longest amount of time in those 3 years without dipping.

Show up. Poll roll. And live up to your word daily and you'll succeed.
