Hello guys and gals, my name is SGT Sharp. UH-60 Crew Chief in the unstoppable 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) I happened across this website by accident but I will call it fate. I have been a dipper for going on 4 years. started out with coppenhagen pouches then moved to copenhagen longcut while i was in afghanistan and iraq. I am about to be the proud parent of a bouncing baby boy here in a few weeks. and my resolve is based on him. I want to be healthy and live a long life with him worry free of mouth cancer and all that other jazz. I figure its time to start thinking about my future with my son. This will be my second and HOPEFULLY LAST time to quit this shit.
I completely agree with you happening across this website randomly. I was searching for fake dip online after I saw Amazon offering the Golden Eagle dip, and checked this place out. In a whim I decided to sign up. Could be the best thing I've done this year once my head and body cleans up.

When I was swimming in college, one of the baseball players we were all friends with had to have surgery because of dipping too much. It was 2 days before my birthday and I swore I was going to stop on my birthday. Poured out on my tin I had just bought a few hours earlier at 12:01 on my birthday. Bought one later when I woke up that morning and the thought of cancer didn't stop me. It sucked.

Glad to be here. It was nice talking to you earlier.

correction...i WILL kick this can of bullshit in its nasty nicotine nutsack for ME. 1 day at a time and believe me if one thing I have learned thus far is that i AM an addict. Hiding cans of dip around the house, pulling cans of empty dip out of the garbage to get that last pinch. UGH! Not again!
Correction...You have kicked this nasty lying bitch out of your life. You own this.

Nice work brother. Keep posting roll. Don't risk your life anymore than you have to by exposing yourself to cancer. Stay safe.

SGT,
could not help but post a reply because your situation is so similar to mine! I'm a CPT......transportation branch. Deployed for the second time to Iraq in 2010 and started dipping! Promised I would quit when I got home and couldn't do it.....so hiding the cans and all that (most on this site call it ninja dipping) was my game as well! I was an expert at it! The family still does not know I got addicted to it but I am now quit for 32 days and counting! Keep the faith! The first 5 days suck haji balls man! But every day after the first week gets better....at least they did for me! Proud to be quit with you!

SGT,
A new baby is a perfect inspiration to quit! I myself found it really hard to take 15 minutes about 7 or 8 times out of the day when there is a crying baby! And when theyre toddlers a can of chew spit is oh soooo tempting to tip over! Yuck!
You can do it! And this site and these people will help you!!!

SGT,

Thanks for serving our country. Great choice on quitting! Make sure you quit for YOU first. However, it is very good to use your son as inspiration for your quit.

Sucessful Quitters do THIS:

#1 A sucessful Quitter posts roll every day and makes their promise--don't skip roll--it is the foundation of our quit. You may not understand now, but you will.

#2 repeat #1

#3 Read everything on this site more than once--INTROs, HOF speeches, Quitter Threads etc. The more you educate yourself the more sucessful you will be

#4 Have an ANTI-Cave plan ---seriously write down a plan of what you will do to avoid caving

#5 get some off-site support

If you need anything, pm me!

Make it about you. Keep up the quit past today, and then...well, post roll for the next day and don't break your promise. Keep doing it.

Keep that 60 safe.

101st! Fellow Screaming Eagle here for you, SGTsharp. Lay yourself down, look yourself in the mirror, admit that you, like me are an ADDICT! Words like hope and try don't cut it in here, so erase them and replace with will. One day at a time is the only way to stay quit. Post roll, be accountable and reach out for help. Will it suck? Yes. But it'll be the best suck of your life.

Hey Sharp, welcome! Stay close to this site, these next couple days are going to be a wild ride. Get a couple numbers from brothers (and sisters) in December, and don't be afraid to use them if things get really tough. Look in the upper right, see the LIVE CHAT? Go there and vent, take out your anger/frustrations, and ask questions. The chat room is manned by some awesome quitters. PM if you need anything, I know you've got this. Stay strong and you only have to do this ONE TIME. This is your time.

Welcome SGT,

I see you've posted roll for today. Excellent work. Plan on doing the same tomorrow.

Also, we don't "hope" to quit. We ARE quit. To paraphrase one of my quit brothers, Hope is the fat girl nobody paid attention to in high school.

Glad to be quit with you.

Oh yeah, holler if you need anything.
