Still trying to figure out how to post and reply. I work late most weeknights, but I'll try to make a role call post tomorrow night. Yesterday was a the first full day without dip in I can't remember when. So, far so good. No dip, but today was a rough day. I'll do this!! Thanks everyone for your help and support.
Post roll with me dammit! Today not tomorrow! Just go to January 2016 quit group and hit add reply, type in your name and day 2 someone will be glad to add you,DON'T KEEP PUTTING IT OFF, YOU'RE NOT GETTING ANY YOUNGER!
Every one of us fucked up roll call at first. Pab is wise in his guidance. Get your name in there please. It is the key to success.

Congratulations on a great achievement. The duck won't last forever. Your BP is gonna thank you for your efforts!

Welcome, we are all in this together. Hang tight and don't cave.
2 Timothy 1:7 - For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

If I could I would. If I don't, it's because I am lazy.

I'm 51-years old and I've dipped since I was 16. Eight years ago I went to the doctor and my blood pressure was through the roof. Doc said I was in danger of having a stroke and put me on medication. Well, that was eight years ago and my blood pressure is back up at the high level that it was. I have to quit chewing and I have to quit today! I know I can do this. I just need a little support and encouragement. Thanks!
1009 days ago...

BP 160/95
Cholesterol 280
A1C 8.9

Today...

BP 120/70
Cholesterol 180
A1C 5.4

Nicotine can fuck off. If I can do it, you can do it. By the way, I take zero medication.

This is not easy AT THE BEGINNING but I promise you that what you are feeling today is not the new normal. The health benefits are great. The money saved is great. But the real reward is the freedom.

It is ridiculous how poisonous this stuff is. You are gonna feel like a whole new man pretty soon. Welcome aboard.
Never really tied this in. Similar stats but I am only 29. I had given up and now I am taking my life back.

I am proud to quit with all of you today.

Hbp welcome, I'm 51 also. Hopefully you quitting in time. Unfortunately I didn't and had a massive heart attack. I'm doing great since I quit dipping (nasty ass shit)! I dipped 38 year's never new all the medical problems it can cause. Anyway grab your sac and man up, let's get this done! Post roll, I can assure you I could have never quit without this place! It's still tough after 275 day's but I'd rather live than dip, pretty simple choice! I quit with you today my friend!

Excellent decision. My BP (as well as cholesterol, triglycerides, etc) all dropped to normal levels by my annual checkup around day 98 of my quit. I'm 56.

Nicotine does many nasty things to our bodies. Face the suck of the first days quit, then be amazed at how it gets better.

1. flush all cans of dip down the toilet. (you don't want temptation nearby).

2. go to the January 2016 quit group, say hello post roll. You will post roll with these quitters everyday, one day at a time. This will keep you accountable to yourself and others.

3. get some digits of other quitters to build a support network through brotherhood.

4. Drink lots of water, embrace the suck, and give nicotine the bums rush!

I quit with you today.
