Just thought I would give some more information simply because I was half asleep when I posted last night lol. My name is Steven I'm a rookie police officer here in the state of Alabama, not going to say what department but I have a unique set of circumstances that is going to make quitting without a replacement a little bit tougher. I work with a partner we are riding In a cruiser together all night and he also dips. If I don't have a can of something that I can pack and put in my mouth I really feel like seeing him doing it all night is eventually going to get me on more stressful shifts. I haven't had a dip since about an hour or two before I posted last night, and I am quite honestly not as bad off as I thought I would be although I definitely don't feel great. I also for the life of me cannot figure out how to post roll.

Hello everyone!!!Quit date is set for tomorrow (hence my name). I have been following this site for some time now. A little about myself: 33 years old, started dipping when I was 15 and have chewed a can a day (cope) for the last 10-12 years. It is time. I have tried a number of times, but I know my time is now. Scared about tomorrow, but ready to move on and quit. Look forward to posting and keeping everyone up to date on my progress.

Still trying to figure out post roll

I'm 26 years old I've been dipping Copenhagen snuff since I was 13 years old and I'm quite honestly tired of it. Hoping to find some advice on the best products to help replace Copenhagen snuff particularly. I've tried a few of the Smoky Mountains in the past and was not a fan. Is there anything finer cut with a closer to natural tobacco taste? I totally understand nothing is going to be exactly the same.
Concentrate on your quit then worry about the oral fix! You will crave we all do, just man up try without anything if it don't work then resort to fake. Post roll make your promise and keep it! Quit on!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

I thought about trying the fakes but man my mouth feels so much fresher with absolutely nothing! Congrats on making the first step! Get involved. Post roll daily! It helps when you publicly make a promise to yourself and everyone else because we will hold you accountable. AND we expect you to hold us accountable!

Hey bud, I am also 26 and in the same boat as you. I just finished day 6 and today is my final day of the first week!
Personally I have only tried Jake's Mint Chew and it is much much coarser than tobacco. My advice is if you need a replacement use jakes or smokey's but it is much better if you just get yourself some sugar free gum and a toothbrush and just quit. You can do this! You're here for a reason! Don't end up being in a box because of a tin. It is much cooler to die from natural causes or something that the discovery can make a documentary out of....maybe you can be the first person to ride a unicycle over a wire across the grand-canyon with no safety equipment! Don't give into the chew man we're 26! we are still young!

Congrats on a great choice, War Eagle. Substitute posting roll and reading everything you can for stuffing poison in you face. I never liked the fake stuff, anyway. I just went with mints....Breathsavers, I think. My kids still come up and ask for a mint all the time. I'd much rather be the "mint guy" instead of the toothless/jawless feeding tube guy.

It will be tough no matter how you do it. But it is worth doing. You can't get freedom for the asking. You must earn it...one day at a timed. Don't think about tomorrow or next week. We'll deal with them when they get here. Just make it through today nic free. Stay strong. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Just quit man. You can shove whatever crap you want to into your mouth as long as it's not tobacco. That's how we roll here. One day at a time no tobacco. No nicotine.

The best substitute by far is to join Ktc quitter style and commit to posting your promise each day in your assigned quit group. Posting your word to yourself and a group of others battling the same fight as you is the best way to beat an addiction that is as strong as heroin. Someone smarter than me will help give some guidance on how and where to put your name on this list, but I cannot stress strongly enough how important roll posting is to your quitter mindset.

Congratulations on a great decision. Freedom is a wonderful thing. One day at a time you are really going to like the new you. Nicotine fucked all of us for too long. Welcome aboard!
