Congrats on 100 days! I'm closing in on 300 days myself. We are the same. Our quits depend on each of us waking up in the morning and deciding not to use nicotine for the day. We are both a bad decision away from being back in hell.

Celebrate this milestone but continue to focus on tomorrow.

I quit with you today! :)
Thank you RSNftw, you have made my quit much easier. One day, we will get together, buy a gerbil, and friggin ship it to Newtexican. Haha! (Or should we ship it to JoeC? Maybe both!)
Lmao I think they both would find a use for the gerbil.

Quote from: rsnftwYesterday I had another dip dream. It was a little more bizarre than my normal dip dream.

I have a cousin with whom I'm really close that is a dipper. I've let him know about the site and how it's helped me and I think eventually he will be here, he's just not ready yet.

Now to the dip dream. I dreamt that I met up with my cousin in a parking lot and he told me that he has quit dipping. I asked him how long since he had a dip and he tells me a week. I then tell him that it's time for him to get on the site so he can get some accountability because it has really helped me. He tells me that "clearly it hasn't helped too much" and that's when I realize I have a dip in and my cousin then gets one. I woke up feeling like shit because not only had I thought I caved but my caving made my cousin doubt the site and his quit so he caved too.
Every time I have a dip dream I wake up and post as soon as I can. I only had one dream in the first month of my quit but I've had a few more dreams here and there lately. I figure that there is still a part of my brain that wants nicotine and I'm not really surprised because I am an addict. Regardless of your dreams keep posting roll every day!

Never forget that you are winning!
Great advice. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Dip dreams are trophies for addicts when we wake up!
Dreams are not real.
Posting roll and living without chains and cancer.... is real.

Quote from: rsnftwSo I think it's time I finally created an intro thread. I've been posting for a while and just never created an intro because I didn't know what to say.

My real name is Drew and I'm 27 years old. My chew of choice was grizzly wintergreen. I was a can a day dipper for about 12 years.

I signed up for the site back in October during a pitiful 3 day attempt to "quit". I never posted and faded away from the site. I realized then that I wasn't ready to quit yet. Fast forward to March and I am ready to quit. I come back to the site and was reading around and was going to walk away from it again without posting because "I'm on a phone so I can't post". Shout out to Walter White for seeing me lurking and sending me a PM to post up and how to do it.

I've now been here for 66 days and am glad to have met so many Bad Ass Quitters on this site. I've personally bonded with at least 10 guys from my group. I help out with the SSOA. I even go to other groups now to answer any questions that I can. I can't wait to see how the next 66 days go.
Great to have you here Drew! Also great that you are quitting relatively early. I would do anything to be able to go back in time and quit at 27 years old. It took me 20 plus years after that to find my way.

Don't limit yourself here - feel free to post on any thread on the site. We are all addicts and there is great advice to be found all over the place. The best news is that you can do this! Just quit today and then get back here tomorrow to repeat. One day at a time.

I quit with you today!
Well done drew.
There will be times it doesnt feel worth it.

Focus on today.
You do not need nicotine.
