You see, last Friday, at day 257, the bitch found me out there in the Texas gulf. The combination of saltwater, cold beer, two fishing buddies with fresh cans of Copenhagen and that bitch's sexy voice in my ear put me in a weakened state. I'm not gonna lie, it crossed my mind, A LOT. But, I didn't, because I'm fuckin quit, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna let you all down.

My quit got a little bit stronger yesterday. The KTC license plate frames and t-shirts from Santa were good but then looking up to see my wife and daughters now wearing their own KTC bracelets in support of my quit was truly awesome. I also got the 200 and 500 day milestone chips which will be held on to and then presented by my daughters once I hit those dates.

Suck on that nic bitch.

Happy Thanksgiving! I have much to be thankful for today and consider myself to be a very blessed individual. I also realize there are a lot of folks struggling for basic survival throughout the world today, perhaps some on this board. With those in mind I refuse to piss and moan about my current predicament with nicotine cessationÂ…the suck, craves, general assholeryÂ…it pales in comparison to their struggle.

Great perspective! Despite cravings (which I still get occasionally 244 days later), freedom is so much better than being a slave to that can of crap.

Right there with you. Today is my day one post on here and my 12 th day without any nic. I just turned 42 a week before you on Nov. 4th. Been trying to get myself to quit for too long. Thought I had it kicked a few years ago after going a year without using but fell off the wagon after thinking as so many that I could stray a little and not get hooked again. I was wrong. Been hooked on Scoal long cut for about 13 years and this time I'm quit. Took my last dip on Friday morning Nov 2nd before taking family to Disney for a 5 day weekend and god help me I'm done. This time I'm quit and I will never dip again.

I turned 43 on Saturday, which also marked somewhere around my 34th year of using smokeless.  Yes, I was 9.  Copenhagen all the way, long cut for last 15 years or so.  Today is quit day 3.  Congrats and thank you to those telling success stories, best of luck to those sharing this new journey with me.
