It's time.
« on: March 26, 2009, 10:01:00 PM »
what's up guys. i'm 21 years old and have been dipping since i was 14. wednesday, march 26 was my first full day without tobacco, and i was on another planet.

i read this site for about 2 days before making my decision to quit, and it scared the hell outta me, and it still does. ever since i've been an "adult", i've had my grizzly to guide me through problems, college related stress, work related stress, girlfriend issues, and so on. it's also been a fine companion to hunt and fish with.

i'm tired of worrying about every bump or sore i may get in my mouth. i'm tired of my gums hurting. i'm tired of spit bottles constantly accumulating in my truck. i'm tired of spending so much money and making so many special trips to run up to the gas station late at night to pick up a can.

i'll be honest, i absolutely love to dip. especially after a nice, big meal. but i want to be around for a long time, and plenty of people in my family have had cancer. i think it's better that i quit while i'm young. i want to feel healthy again.

any words of encouragement or support would be great. good luck and god bless yall.
Don't test the odds, 'cause your arms are too short to box with God.
