Not sure this is the place I want to track this.. knowing that intros are really for dealing with quits.. Don't want to keep pulling a non quit discussion up in the list...

Holy supplements Batman! You must piss a rainbow by the end of the day!

I take a multi-vitamin, some fiber to make up for the loss of carbs  omega-3's.

I've got to start exercising again.
Are those all in pill form? I mean...one at at time? OMG That's a lot of supplements. Can I get that in a to go cup? That is dedication man!
Totally wrecked my health for 31 years with tobacco.. Sure wish I could do those years over knowing what I know now.. I'm 53 now.. I do what I can.. :)

Half in the morning, half in the evening... all in pill form.. with a big gulp of water.

If I miss taking them, after a few days I can really tell.

I still spend less on supplements per month than I did on Tobacco, and less than half that when you factor in the four to five meds I had to take for cholesterol and asthma..
$5.40 per can for Skoal long cut x~28 cans per month = $151.20, plus $120 per month for the meds.. $271.20.. I probably spend $70/month in supplements..

On plan all day Thursday. 1.5 hours of exercise yesterday (mowed the lawn (large Push mower, not self-propelled) and went swimming afterward) Legs very fatigued.

Friday.. Breakfast off plan, planned off plan due to taking my son out for breakfast. He's going to welding school and Fridays we have breakfast since he gives me a ride to work. Scrambled Eggs (about 3-4) 4 strips bacon, oatmeal with raisins brown sugar and cinnamon (to help metabolize the sugar without spiking the insulin too much.)

Rest of the day will be on plan.

Will weigh myself midday to see if I'm up or down.

BTW.. Here is a list of supplements I take if anyone is interested.
- Vit B Complex (AM)
- Vit C (500mg) (AM  PM)
- Vit D3 (AM)
- Men's Multi (PM)
- Co-Q10 (PM)
- Selenium (PM)
- Zinc (AM)
- Chromium Picolinate (AM)
- NOW Amino Complete (AM  PM)
- L-Arginine (AM  PM)
- L-Lysine (AM)
- L-Carnitine (AM  PM)
- CLA (AM  PM)
- Flax seed oil (AM  PM)
- DHA (PM)
- Cinnamon (AM  PM)
- Vit D3 (AM)

Thanks, Chief and Radman..
Let me know how I can help you all too.. I'm all in..

Weighed 222lbs this morning. At 5'-8.5" that's way too much.. I'd be very happy around 180-185, provided my lean body mass was up there.

Romandog, I am fairly well versed in the art of healthy eating and whatnot. I will help you if you need anything. I follow a very strict diet, mostly because my wife has a rare illness and cant eat much. I was 270 pounds at my worst and have maintained 215 for the last 5 years(I am 6'4" so 215 is pretty normal for my height). I recently started to be back on the rise and hit 230 this morning. Your post has inspired me.

I quit nic with you today, and I will quit unhealthy living with you today. Let's do this man!
I agree with Chief. Glad to see your post Romandog. Just this week I started reclaiming my waistline and health for the second time. Knee surgery last year bummed me out and got the better of me mentally. I am now determined to be back to a respectable form when I turn 40 later this year.

I think I may follow your lead and use my intro for tracking, although not quite as detailed as your example.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Well folks, I'm now 53.. been here over three years at this point, and still quit.. Day 1166 as of this writing.

And I'm going to stay that way.. But I need to do more to get myself in as good a shape as is still possible after so many years of not taking care of myself.. Going to start posting my weight, eating and exercise progress here.. Yes, I know that we have threads for that here.. Been in a few of them..

But I need to do this here, because I have to make this promise to myself first.. Feel free to chime in.. Feel free to join me. Feel free to nail me to the wall if I start exhibiting any wussy addict-like attitudes..

So.. here is "Romandog's Plan":

- 2 oz Cheese/218/17.7/0.92/13.68
- 1 Tbs nuts (Almonds, Walnuts, Peanuts, Pecans)/98/8.54/3.36/3.64

- 2 Wasa Bread Crackers/105/0/18/4
Totals/493/26.47/41.34/21.68

Totals /Cals/Fat/Carb/Protein
Totals/2077/103.34/129.27/165.72

- This is the way I will eat EVERY DAY.
- I get 6 "cheat meals" a month, but I cannot have a "cheat meal" two meals in a row, nor two days in a row.
- No more than 16 oz of caffeinated drinks/day. NO soda (diet or otherwise), gatorade, power drinks, etc.. (Loaded with Carbs)
- 8 8oz glasses of water daily

Exercise:
- 30 mins of some form of exercise DAILY, 7 days a week.

History:
I've done this a few times before. I have this stuff memorized. I lost 60 lbs two years ago (252 down to 189lbs), through the Diet Center and kept it off until November last year. Basically I've been in free-fall mode. I just quit. Gained most of that back. Right now I have no idea where I am weight wise. But with the weight loss I was able to get off of all of my cholesterol and asthma meds (5 prescriptions) I felt great.

I'm beginning to feel really crappy again, sleeping poorly due to GERD which is causing Asthma problems again.

I work in IT in a hospital. Lots of food.. I need the accountability...

As if on queue, one of my co-workers just stopped by my cube and offered me some chocolate she brought in.. Yesterday I would have had some.. But the timing was perfect. Not today.

So I'll be posting my weight here, and my "On Plan  exercise promise" day (just like everywhere else on this site)

I haven't weighed myself yet, but I will shortly.

Still I'm posting day 1 right now.

Very nice job on 1,000 days Romandog. Thanks for showing so many the way to quit.
A huge congrats there.

And I had missed that post you had below from Sept 2012 (as that was shortly after I had quit), but I do have to say I am seeing a lot of similarities for what I am currently going through as well to become a better person and live a better life.

thanks for laying down that path that us others can follow.

I was just reading through my earlier posts.. Today is day 514 for me..

Aside from Christ bringing me to Himself, getting married and having kids, I cannot think of anything in my life that have changed my life in such positive ways as finally getting off tobacco/nicotine has.

What an absolute God sent blessing this has been..

- It has taught me self-control.. Numerous other bad habits have fallen due to this.. Quitting nicotine was like the lynch-pin..
- I have lost weight.. As of today, I am under 200 lbs.. In February I weighed 252.. Blood pressure was 154/100. On Monday is was 120/61. Cholesterol down over 150 pts, Triglycerides down over 300 points..
- Asthma has diminished unbelievably.. As a result of stopping the continual ingestion of poison, and the weight loss and the increased levels of activity I have much improved lung capacity and am sleeping 1000x better.
- Got off several medications (cholesterol/asthma), saving even more money than just the $160/month I started saving because I wasn't spending it on tobacco.
- Mouth/Dental health has improved..
- Overall mental health greatly improved (mood swings, temper, depression gone or much lessened)
- I actually enjoy life again  feel like I'm back in my 20's.. At 51!

I could not have done this without you and KTC..

Romandog, Day 514. quit with all of you.
