Congrats on the quit! Get some water...okay....get several gallons of water. Fruit juices help but need to be a supplement only and not a replacement for water. This helps get the shite out of your system and helps reduce your withdrawals. There are no guarantees which or even if you will have withdrawals. Just remember thousands of people have had them and will be more than happy to help you through them. Get some names and number of fellow quitters and get your quit on every morning.

Just for today, Self.
Great advice above.
Nicotine has never helped one person.
Why touch it?
Your idenity doesnt need it.
Turn around....and run the other direction.
Never look back.

Doing great buddy. You seem like a forum pro to me.

This place is jammed pack full of information and advise. They only thing you'll find more of, is support from others. It's a process that begins with you throwing everything away. Don't try to learn everything before you quit. There's simply too much. And you'll find that as you go through the quitting process, you'll find what you need to get through it.

Although there's more advice here then you could ever ask for, what makes this place work is support and accountability. THAT's the foundation. THAT's what starts immediately.

Accountability means making sure your email is linked up so brothers in your quit group (July2016...where we met), or supporters (like myself) can reach you if your not logged in. That's the absolute minimum and honestly that's not enough though. The expectation is that you share you cell number with your brothers and even supporters if you like (you may see them called "vets". I call "vets" those who have hit "Hall of Fame" ...100 days. That's just me.)

You can text a brother or a vet any time you need them. Thats the 24hr support line as well as the forum and live chat. Accountability comes when you don't show up. If you give your cell, you're allowing somebody to text you. If you don't, you're not allowing the process to work and you're giving yourself a way out...you're not allowing the accountability to happen. You'll only be half in the game.

You can get numbers by sending a PM (personal message). You do that by clicking on their name wh oh will send you to their home page and you'll see the option to email them or PM them. Reserve emails for when you're trying to reach out to a brother who is MIA. Respect email privacy unless needed.

This place is magical. You have stumbled into a golden nugget that will save your life if you let it. For it to work better than ANYTHING you have tried before though, you have to go all in.

Feel free to PM me to share digits.

Is may be slow to respond as I am on my way to bed. If I don't see it in the next few minutes, I'll respond tomorrow.

Post on up buddy. Quit this shit. Tomorrow is not any easier. The day after is even harder. NOW is the time.

Hey guys!

My name is Blake and I am 22 years old. I have been dipping since I was 17 and it is time to get myself cleaned of this crap. I dipped all through high school and in college because of baseball, and my graduation from college is coming up soon (May 14th) and it is my time. I want to do this so bad and I hope I can get support from some of you in this, because I know it will not be an easy task.

I look forward to taking this journey with some of you.

Blake
I am also new to forums so any help I could get would be great. Thanks

Blake
