Very long day today. My day off from work so I tried to
stay busy I do not want any downtime I need to be focused. Found myself in a couple of dazed out moments today. I promise to not put that shit in my mouth tommorw. As soon as I wake up I'll post my promise to everyone on here again. We can all do it we don't have to
be a slave to this shit.

Congratulations on the best decision of your life. This is a day at a time thing and you will be faced with many painful situations that you got to fight through. It's the only way brother. You're daughter is 6.....it's time!!!! Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. I needed it many times......

Thanks Bro. She's 6 and I refuse to continue on this shit. I refuse to be on this shit when she's 12 .
Don't worry about when she's 12. Worry about today. Then worry about tomorrow. Don't overwhelm yourself.

Congrats on the quit, brother.
Quit for yourself first, Tommy. You don't want to blame the strain and struggle of your quit on anyone else but you. Excellent Day 3 - the Nic is almost out of your system!

Welcome to KTC. If you need anything send me a PM. If the craves get unbearable, send me a PM pronto!!

I stoped in the mobile for gas on Sunday and the guy went straight to the cans and pulled down the cope pouches. So so FN hard to tell him none today thanks. I could of just said awww one more can Or ok I'll quit when the summer is over. But now i know there is no better time to quit than right at this moment.
Congrats on quitting. The first three days are the worst, but it gets better. You can do it!

One thing that I find helps is avoiding places I used to buy my chew. Just don't go there anymore. If you need gas, pay at the pump and go. If you need anything else, drinks, munchies, etc, get it from a grocery store instead, or some other store where you didn't buy chew at. It's probably cheaper there anyways.

Especially in your case if you're recognized as a "regular" at the local gas station.
Good point. You know it's time to quit when the guy behind the counter has the can ready for before you even step up to the counter lol.
Agreed. I had VIP status like that at my local too. I haven't been back there in the last 4 days. Nothing I need there that I can't get somewhere where that meaning is not etched in my brain. Good work man.
Ask Colonel No Cope about how that favotrite corner store affected his first quit. Be very aware of that danger. The advise given is absolutley valid!
Third day going strong. There are a few gas stations around here that are just gas they don't have the little store with them. Gonna get my gas there from now on.

Welcome. I'm on day 4 and this is my second real go around on this journey. I am glad to quit with you today.
Welcome to the quit TommyNY!
I remember when it was cool as a kid to chew and smoke and then after 20 years I realized the only cool thing to do was to quit and livestrong! I would rather be broke and healthy than rich and sick!

Tommy,

Welcome!

I made the same choice 82 days ago. Best choice of my life!

Here is what you do:

#1 Post roll with the October Group--that is your quit group. Make a promise every day to not use nicotine in any form.

#2 Realize you are an ADDICT-- You must accept this.

#3 This site is your support---exchange numbers with the October members and others, PM anybody---visit the Live Chat---Caving is NO LONGER an OPTIOn--You are quit for good now!

#4 Get others outside this site to support your quit--wife, good friend, family doctor etc. let everyone know about your journey to freedom

#5 Educate yourself about this addiction---this site is a great resource---read everything three times!

We quit TODAY only---fuck tomorrow. You can only Quit today.

If you need anything---Pm me
